The first reports of an incident in London emerged Saturday evening.
Within hours, cable news channels were saturated with the all-too-familiar loop of panicked faces, desperate crowds scurrying for safety and scowling, heavily armed police. On Sunday morning, the New York Times said the latest terrorist attack in London had targeted a nation still reeling from a suicide bombing in Manchester last month.
On Sunday, some Londoners started pushing back against the notion that their city if not their country was trembling in fear. They had a simple message: London is not reeling.
This twisted attempt to downplay the reality of radical Islam is surpassed in delusion by the supportive comments.
The Brits better more than push back against fear.
They had better start being the ones create fear.
Oh the breathless vacuous prose of the Compost!
Today is another Teary Solidarity Day in the UK. Flowers, candles, and teddy bears are accumulating in their appointed places. Photos of the slain are being displayed on television and in the newspapers, and weepy citizens are lamenting their tragic loss. New hashtags proliferate on social media. And politicians recycle their tired clichés about standing together and not letting the terrorists divide us and etc blah yak.
Things continue the same, in Britain and throughout the Multicultural West.
Thanks for Zakeet for the above!
This is The Stockholm Syndrome on a national scale.
The most incredible and Ironic part of this article is that the photos of Londoners during WW2 show a spirit long gone from that once great nation.
London is not reeling. Or in fact doing anything. At least with the Nazis, they weren’t allowed right inside the city limits to mingle with the disarmed citizens, telling them to tolerate their new guests.
What worthless pile of crap the WaPos is. They are more concerned about the reaction then the evil bastards who are killing the innocent.
So how would today’s voting-age Brits vote if they were asked to choose between the following:
1. Keep things they way they are, love and inclusiveness is most important.
2. Impose some kind of immigration and travel ban like Trump is trying to do in the US.
3. Throw all the Muslim extremists out of the country.
I don’t think this is a theoretical question but the time is coming when only one of the above would probably receive a majority of votes. Maybe it’s already past.
One thing, though.... they didn’t welcome Nazis in their midst. And they didn’t hesitate to bomb the places where those Nazis congregated.
They also didn’t elect a German as mayor.
The Washington Compost wants people to accept their sons and daughters being stabbed to death by Muslims.

To Americans - let this be a warning. @POTUS wants to protect you.
WaPo has been renamed the Washington Podesta you know.
Brits didn’t pushed back against the Nazis.
So push back against Islam!
Not all that long ago the British were dealing with some pretty horrific terrorism by the Irish. They could certainly draw on that learning and those resources. Of course, back in the day they also were able to openly condemn the IRA, something that is not “correct” to do with the Islamic dudes. Trump is right again. Fancy that...
They’re pushing their heads up their *sses.
The UK is a balless self destructive suicidal shithole.
Push ‘em back, push ‘em back—way back!
That’s hard to do when your government is importing them as fast as they can.
Maybe they need to push their leaders back.
If you read the comments on the article it becomes apparent the Brits are not making the Islam/terror connection AT ALL. They are more upset about President Trump tweeting than about their citizens being slaughtered.
