Comedian Kathy Griffin held a press conference Friday with her attorney regarding the backlash surrounding the image of her holding up a faux severed head of President Donald Trump.
During her opening statement, Griffin said the reaction from the White House is something that has never been seen before.
"A sitting president of the United States and his grown children and the first lady are personally—I feel—personally trying to ruin my life forever. Forever," the comic said. "You guys know him, he's never going to stop."
Since images and video of her controversial photo shoot were posted earlier this week, Griffin has been fired from CNN's New Year's Eve coverage team, and Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) has canceled an upcoming appearance with Griffin.

Kathy, visit an ISIS held territory and maybe you’ll have your head taken off...you blamed Barron for ruining your career. I never heard of you until you did that. Do something - like helping disadvantaged people in Africa.
She deliberately targeted Barron - she deserves more than she’s reaped so far.

Griffin should thank her lucky stars she lives in a free country.
If she did this to the leader of Iran or Syria or Saudi Arabia, the police would come and take her away to have her killed on the spot.

Well, now I don’t recall ever seeing, reading, or hearing about anyone holding up a fake beheaded president before. Only and infantile idiot would think this was funny and expect that there would be no consequences.
Clearly, with this press conference you are demonstrating that you only did this out of overwhelming need for exhibitionism and attention-My opinion is that you are mentally disturbed, and should enter an institution for mental health treatment.
