‘Really Stupid’: That’s What Hillary Clinton Says About Trump Exiting The Paris Accord [VIDEO]
Daily Caller ^ | March 31, 2017 | Michael Bastasch

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said it would be “really stupid” for President Donald Trump to withdraw U.S. participation in the Paris agreement on climate change.

As part of a wide-ranging talk about the 2016 campaign, Clinton said a withdrawal from the Paris accord would be “a breach of an agreement” that would cede U.S. leadership on fighting global warming.

“You stand with your prior administration whether it was of your party or not,” Clinton said at a tech conference in southern California, also saying it would be “totally incomprehensible” and “incredibly foolish” to withdraw from the Paris agreement.

Trump is expected to withdraw from the accord sometime this week. White House aides have told reporters Trump favors exiting the deal, which the Obama administration joined in 2016.

European leaders, environmentalists and Democrats have urged Trump to stay in the Paris agreement — even though Trump already began dismantling the Obama-era policies meant to comply with the accord.

Clinton echoed arguments commonly made by Paris proponents, including that withdrawal would cost the U.S. economic opportunities in green energy.

“The President is a very impulsive, reactive personality,” Clinton said. “So, if we all like the Paris agreement, he may decide to get out of it, not even understanding one bit about what that means, or even understanding the economic cost of it.”

“There’s a huge market that somebody’s going to own and we’re giving it up,” Clinton said.

Trump cannot negate a treaty ratified by the Senate no matter how much he’d like to.

USA is not some two-bit country where Supreme Leader can just decree that we are now subject to some international treaty or contract on his say-so or quit a treaty because he does not like it.

If he wants out he has to undo the treaty with a 2/3 Senate vote and all the debate that entails.

lol

This is a “really stupid” comment by Hillary as a justification for staying with a flawed agreement.

This was an ‘agreement’ to the accord by a single person out of 300 million with no approval of the 300 million citizens representatives in the legislation. Obama agreed, let him personally go with the agreement. Hold 2/3 rds Senate vote for the citizens to have a say or drop the US from it.

Rush had a good explaination of the surrender of soverignty aspect and the underhanded catch-22 clause using our own Constitution against us. If President Trump utters a word of support, he will out do GWB in corrupting his own ideals. He should say no, NO and F-NO!

There is no denying climate change since climate has been in a state of change since Creation thanks to mother nature and the sun.

Speaking of which, that crazy Iran agreement was never ratified by the Senate. It was never even submitted as a treaty to be considered.

“Trump cannot negate a treaty ratified by the Senate no matter how much he’d like to.”

Obama never had the Paris Accord ratified by the Senate. It was installed by his Executive Order. Trump can do what he wants. The Paris accord is poor law and must be dumped.

What treaty is that? The Paris Accord has not been presented to Congress.

The Paris climate deal was never submitted to be ratified by the Senate. It was never ratified, so what you wrote doesn’t apply to this particular deal.

I don’t know if there are any other contracts between our goverment and other countries or other businesses related to the deal. If so, then they presumeably would be adjudicated under contract law, if Trump goes ahead and pulls out. Any such contracts likely have termination terms or standards which would apply if the parties don’t abide by said contracts.

It was never ratified by congress. Obastard signed onto it under his own accord. So Trump can dump that SOB any friggan time he wants.

which session did the Senate ratify this agreement for obama?

excerpt

White House senior adviser Brian Deese said the president has the legal authority to ratify the accord without the two-thirds Senate vote required for treaties. He said the pact negotiated by 195 countries in December is merely an “executive agreement.”

Well, the Clinton Foundation things really fell flat, so you’re probably right on target.

Ms. Evita Scamalot needs a new project...

Yep.

and she’s probably scared and too greedy to dip into one of their off-shore accounts.

She’s also mad because she knows if she had been elected she would have been on her way to becoming the wealthiest woman on earth.
