You can find all kinds of videos on the internet for this and even a video displaying this as the next Gen with many demo flights around the world of this. So either millions are convinced this isn’t photo shopped or the biggest sham in modern history.
Please review the video and show me a screen capture of this joystick control, because I see no such thing. His hands are free. He leans forward to go forward, further forward to go faster, he leans backward to slow, stop or reverse. He leans right to go right, left to go left.
Just like a Segway.

It sounds and looks like the jet engines used on RC planes. There was a fuel line from the backpack to the board. A parachute wouldn’t do him any good at low altitude anyway.
