Good job. A few of us started backing Trump as an early candidate. We and Trump were laughed at, jeered and made fun of. Some Trump people were attacked and hurt, when Trump was trying to speak. Inspite of that hatred, Trump won, and we still are backing him supporting him.
As our Potus, he has done more to protect our country and families since he was sworn in, than most presidents have in an entire term or two terms.
He has done this with the entire left wing media attacking him 24/7, the DNC and rats in congress attacking and lying about him. Schumer, Pelosi and Mad Maxine are attacking Trump each day.
Daily the mediots and liars in Congress scream about Russia/Russia with zero proof of any connection to Trump.
His back stabbers remind me of a combination of Brutus, Judas and Benedict Arnold, all wrapped up together in a cloak of hatred that should be used against our real enemies.
The real enemies, who want to destoy Trump to get back to destroying America.
Real enemies in the open, and the covert ones with the Deep State working covertly to destroy our country, our families and President Trump. James Comey was/is a prime example of how dangerous a Deep State Snake can be at high levels.
My tagline sums up this reality and the alternative each day.
My grown liberal daughter asked me a couple of days ago whether, after all that has happened since his election, I still support Trump.
I replied, “Without reservation.” He has done more to advance conservative policies than any president since Reagan, and more than almost any politician of any stripe in the past century.
Unfortunately he’s like a star quarterback whose offensive line is in the employ of the opposing team. Fortunately he’s a good backfield runner.
great analysis.
you were not hard enough on the conservatives here that value their own opinions more than America. They have already abandoned the course for perpetual sour grapes and arsenic. That’s what they always do. Me, Me, Me. America be damned
Thanks for posting DoughtyOne :D
Good post, talked me into donating.
Excellent post, but the question I have is not about what is happening. It’s this: How can we fight back? What can we as average citizens do to fight back against the massive onslaught against this presidency? What can we do to get Congress to stop focusing on its useless “investigations” and start working on the positive agenda President Trump and all of them ran on? What can we do and how can we do it?
Trump advocated for the Ryan Health Care bill. Most of us, myself included, criticized that. We didn't want what we perceived as Obamacare lite. Was that reasoned? I believe so. We had to make it known we didn't want a governmental health care plan. We voiced our opinions, and the Conservative Caucus in the House refused to sign on. That bill was DOA. I think most of us were happy about that. The president made some unfortunate comments about the failure, but was soon on the march toward a different version of the bill, once again submitted by Speaker Paul Ryan. Trump advocated for it's passage. As part of the bill, Planned Parenthood was completely refunded defunded. It passed by four votes in the House. Just four folks...
Good post...
Gospel vision once made America great. And this has both a left and right side. Modern secular leftists are illiberal because they have forgotten God and thus are constrained to play a zero sum game.
Thank you.
We might ask ourselves, “how many Democrats and democrat supporters treated Obama the way many conservatives and FReepers have treated Trump?
Do we not have it in us to at least be as good at supporting this man as they were at supporting theirs?
When conservatives forget God this is exactly what happens.
Both left and right rot when they forget God. They only rot differently.
If our modern left should teach us something, it is this: patience is a virtue.
The repeal of Obamacare is NOT on the President’s desk. That fact is NOT the Presidents fault. Mind you, the repeal was already passed but now that it might actually be signed into law, all of a sudden the GOP is getting cold feet.
I did not vote for Trump -but- it is NOT his fault that Obamacare was not repealed.
There is a whole boatload of other ugly politics illuminated by the Obamacare repeal impasse.
BTTT!!!
Doesn’t matter that Ivanka and Jared are his closest most trusted advisors. They’re family and Washington is a den of snakes of various poisons.
As for the disappointed crowd on FR, I wonder how many are just astroturfing us ... or is it Gaslighting us.
Deport every single one.
We all knew what you meant, one small error in a long piece is better than most gerbalists ;)
I completely agree. When Trump broke through the liberal-imposed barrier on criticizing immigration, he won my heart. I know full well Trump is not a perfect man or a perfect politician. None of them are. The alternative for the country was Sanders or Hillary. Both would have been catastrophic. The people who are abandoning Trump now really didn’t support him to begin with. Couldn’t have. They act as though his weaknesses were unknown prior to his election. We all heard what Trump said and what his positions were. We knew he could sometimes be not perfect when it came to conservatism. The biggest letdowns have come from the Congress and the courts.
People this is war with the left.
I said WAR.
They are going to fight with everything they can to ruin Trump and his agenda. It’s sink or swim.
Whoop Whoop!! No complaints directed to our President from this direction. He has not failed - the failure comes from the UniParty who had best get their act together. Rowing is hard work when everyone rows against you. This has occurred the last 60+ years and we’ve done nothing but go around in circles.
PT has already accomplished more in his term than the last man who so enjoyed showing Americans the soles on his shoes.
Excellent D1. The TRUMPETERS are a force to be reckoned with.
GD - a day ago we were speaking of John Wayne. Since that time, an image of DJT on a horse has been forming in the mind’s eye :-)
