Veteran’s Group Facing Backlash After Turning on Hannity Show
Political Insider ^ | May 25, 2017 | Matt

Posted on 05/26/2017 10:59:19 AM PDT by HarleyLady27

Fox News’ Sean Hannity has been losing advertisers thanks to a targeted campaign by the far-left Clinton-supporting attack dog Media Matters. Two days ago they published a full list of Hannity’s television advertisers, encouraging their readers to take action and contact those advertisers.

Thus far, the advertisers who’ve dropped out include Cars.com, Casper, Crowne Plaza, Leesa Sleep, Peloton, and Ring.com.

The names of those mentioned above who’ve already dropped advertising on Hannity aren’t exactly big names – but the latest to drop out is turning heads. The odd-one-out on the list of advertisers who’ve dropped out of advertising on Hannity’s show is USAA, a company founded by Army veterans almost 100 years ago that caters their services towards military families.

Bizarrely, they tried to claim that the reason they stopped advertising is because they don’t advertise on opinion shows.

And as you’d expect, ceasing to advertise on someone as pro-military and dedicated to veterans as Hannity isn’t boding well among USAA’s target demographic.

H/T: The Gateway Pundit

The hashtag #BoycottUSAA is exploding on Twitter. Sean Hannity will be returning to his Fox show after an extended weekend thanks to Memorial Day, but will USAA be returning as well?

They can claim that they’re pulling their advertisements because they don’t advertise on opinion shows – but it’s not just the timing in question. Turn on MSNBC and you’ll find USAA advertising there.

“Leesa Sleep” might be Hannity’s pillow ads. I don’t recognize the others. I’ll listen-in at 3:06PM, and report back. :)

If your for the Military then your for the Military and if your using that to sell something and your not, then your doing false business and false advertising, IMHO...

You're, you're, you're, you're and also you're.

I posted my extreme displeasure on their facebook page yesterday and called their complaint line. I have been a USAA client for many years. I am considering moving if they dont come back to their senses.

When I called the company yesterday and the young female started giving me the canned response about opinion shows, I stopped her in mid sentence and told her that was crap and a lie, that they still advertise on other opinion shows. She stayed polite but she must have gotten beat up all day long.

USAA is the Geico (”Government Employees Insurance Co.”)of the 70’s.

Just like USAA, they began to issue policies to customers with very tenuous relationship to government employment.

They shot themselves in the foot with cancellations.

They reinvented themselves through clever advertising, but they are run-of-the-mill insurance with no particular advantage over any other company.

USAA is on the same trajectory.

I used to sell insurance, and very few companies could even come near the rates at USAA.

Well, now I have USAA with my husband, and as I was “shopping rates” I was surprised to find that quite a few very good companies beat USAA rates - by a decent amount.

We will be switching home and auto to a different company. One other thing about USAA - they farm out their customer service. Claims they kept in house - unless it’s glass or roadside assistance. Whatever company they use for those is a pain to work with.

OH, and lately I have noticed that USAA has begun running commercials that feature mixed race couples.

I am a live and let live sort, but I don’t like having social engineering fed to me by my insurance company. It’s like these “house hunting” or fixer-upper shows that have 50% gays in the mix. Well, that does not reflect the demographic not do I want that fed to me via the TV shows I watch. Apparently USAA has decided to “normalize” 1% of the population by featuring them in commercials.

USAA is proud to be the Preferred Provider of Insurance and Financial Services to the American Legion it says in this month's issue of "The American Legion Magazine" - USAA regularly advertises in the magazine with ads for a USAA/Legion Visa card and its usual monthly USAA sponsored article on financial planning this month - also a big inside front cover full-page USAA sponsored salute to the fallen with pictures of poppies and the poem:

Such sacrifice
through valor made,
A debt too deep
to be repaid
From their courage
freedom born
To remember them
the poppy worn.

Touching - Legion members might also want to contact the organization (which by the way might just be considered an opinion advocate) about any dissatisfaction they have with USAA.....

We are in the Southern Tier of NY, so in our area I find (for us) Liberty Mutual and The Hartford both save us over $125. per year for a auto/home bundle. There are a couple others that are a lesser savings.

It’s always best to get quotes from four companies. Make sure they are hard quotes - that they have added your accurate driving history and run your FICO (if they do so in your area)to give you the final premium before you sign onto a new company. Double check that ALL your coverage match as closely as possible when doing quotes, paying particular attention to the type of deductible and the amount of the deductible. Especially comprehensive coverage like full glass and rental reimbursement/roadside assistance coverage.
