That’s so that the entire world will think that 22 people were mysteriously killed by a balloon popping and will never connect it with the UK’s failure to control their Muslim jihadi population.

What they’re mad about isn’t a “leak”.
It was obviously Islamic terrorists.
What they’re mad about is that they can’t cover that up.

Images from the attack appeared in The New York Times just hours later

Everyone with a phone and access to social media (facebook, instagram, twitter, youtube) was uploading content from the event.

Were these images from first responders? UK government investigators?

And I recall that UK police have been busted in the past for leaking phonecalls and other things to the British press.

What were they going to do, hide the name?

Tell us that it was popping balloons?

Nothing to do with islam?

Maybe someone was just trying to shut Shemp Smith up.

“Officials believe the leaks are coming from U.S. law enforcement, rather than the White House.”

“Officials” just doing the leaking the rest of America doesn’t want to.

“Officials believe the leaks are coming from U.S. law enforcement, rather than the White House.”

The Deep State still taking every opportunity to torpedo President Trump.

On the other hand, if Britain doesn’t want to share their info, let then boil in their own juices.

New norm: suppressing reports of major incidents involving extremist islam perpetrators. Don’t want to hurt any muslim feelings.

Theresa May will raise the issue with President Donald Trump at a NATO summit Thursday

Burn those bridges Theresa!

Britain won't need US friendship after Brexit.

The people in charge in Britain are trying to create a false narrative that hides their incompetence and downplays the seriousness of their situation.

My bosses all did the same thing when some problem focused attention on their deficiencies. It’s how you manage the information that makes your reputation. Any general does the same when he spins the facts to minimize his mistakes or to make his mistake look like a coldly calculated move.

This is all standard bureaucratic behavior. From the “manager’s” perspective no one could possibly have done any better than they. Anyone who took over from them would do worse; much worse.

Prime Minister Theresa May will raise the issue with President Donald Trump at a NATO summit

BS. What the UKowards were really peeved about was Trump's speech in Saudi, which showed that Europe is directed by the weak and the clueless--starting with fierce, awe-inspiring military minds with names like Amber and Theresa.

I don’t see refusing to share intel as the smart way forward, but I can get why they’d be angry about information leaking. You don’t want anything getting out before you’re ready for it to come out. Even some minor detail could tip off co-conspirators about how far along an investigation is, make them feel like the police could be paying them a visit sooner than they thought and trigger the destruction of evidence that might otherwise have been seized if the police still had the element of surprise.

Won’t often actually be the case that an early leak has a material effect on an investigation, and it’s not always possible for investigators to keep a lid on all the information as they’d want, but they should at least be able to trust other security services to handle the information correctly.

I see this differently.

I think the UK is doing Trump a favor — perhaps even at his request.

Trump has been plagued by leaks for months. He’s spoken about it. He has said he would fire people. I think he will do so very soon — but, of course, the US Media will attack him for an internal purge and his McCarthyite loyalty test — or whatever.

BUT — if the leakers within the Trump Admin have now caused an international incident, and if the UK is now withholding information from us that we need to fight terrorism ... well, I guess that fully justifies President Trump’s attempt to do a little housecleaning.

I think the UK is helping us work the political end of this. Leakers will be sent packing.

A person who carelessly handled classified material was nearly elected President. She's free as we speak?

Why would anyone bother properly handling classified anymore?

Restrict who gets reports. Mark the the reports so they can be traced.
Changing a letter or mark or sentence or paragraph etc different for each recipient.
Once found then shoot dead the spy as a warning for the others.
