Villagers say theyll boycott St Davids Church, in Blaenporth, Ceredigion, Wales, in protest.
Church bosses say pilates is OK, but not yoga, which might be seen to be in conflict with Christian values and belief.
How much yoga have you practiced Louie?
Don’t lie and make up stuff on the fly
As they say Jesus is listening
Btw this is not your first anti yoga bash fest here
Why is that
You simply don’t know what you’re scolding over
Going to India and doing TM with some saffron dabbed goofball and studying yoga intertwined with Hinduism and you’d have a point
But that isn’t what this is
It’s like martial arts schools today
When I was a kid they were a place to learn to fight and get hurt but get tough too
Now it’s family conditioning time taught by girls as much as boys
The yoga your fear is simply a boogieman and unless one goes looking for it whereever it might be
A Hindu proselytizing yog .
Something I’ve never seen in 25 year watching yoga from Nashville to Seaside to Miami to Key West to Aspen to Naples to Dallas to New Orleans to Captiva to Traverse City
Most yoga here is faith based sorry to burst your bubble
All I have is 25 years experience around yoga married to an almost low master of it who prays on her knees nightly before bed out loud like a child every single night and who manipulates me to go Sunday mornings as much as she does etc
And her yoga pals at Christian governed yoga are similar
You’re just misguided my man
But I still love you in a freeper way
It’s stretching. It’s good for you. It’s only as much of a religious practice as you want it to be. One can kneel without praying, and one can do a hanging forward bend without praying. Only real difference is the hanging forward bend is actually good exercise.
Louie is too busy wrestling his snakes to respond to you.
“Most yoga here is faith based sorry to burst your bubble”

Don’t apologize for actually *inflating* my bubble. Yoga _is_ faith based, that’s the exact point being stressed here - it’s based in Hinduism.
But as I said, it’s not of concern to non-Christians. They have a bigger problem with which to deal.

Do you get baptized every time you need to bathe or clean yourself? If not, why not?
from “Occult ABC”:
All Christians who are allowing themselves unsuspectingly to be led astray into yoga should take note of Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled with the yoke of bondage.””
LOL LOL! Unreal, I never seen a star so humiliate him or herself regularly as Elvis did in those stupid movies. What was he thinking or was he on drugs back then as well? Every freakin’ movie was the same: Stupid banal plot, insert stupid banal songs at random, song must be about what stupid thing is being done at the time in the movie whether it be yoga or a clambake. He even sang “Old MacDonald had a farm”. I think after his mother died he just didn’t give a damn anymore, it was a slow sabotage of his life.
“What was he thinking or was he on drugs back then as well?”

He hated them, but was contractually obliged to do X amount of movies. A few of his films were actually pretty good. Even the cheezy ones he hated doing can be fun watching.

A former yoga teacher talks about the practice:

Does it seem likely that the devil would try to corrupt the body of Christ?
Would you expect his methods to be straightforward, or would you expect them to be subtle?
What if you only want it to be an exercise, but others in the class are actively worshipping demons?
“that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
Revelation 12:9
So, just to be clear, when I was doing this routine with my wife in our basement, we were both worshiping Hindu gods? If so, is God now angry with me?
Don’t speak again until you can touch your toes from a standing position.
This is news. There is still at least one Christian church left in the UK.
Love Christmas too! Celebrate Passover with my Jewish friends. It’s all good.
“Would you expect his methods to be straightforward, or would you expect them to be subtle?”

This is a good point. A true Christian wouldn’t willingly and knowingly walk into such areas. The guy who gives you heroin doesn’t tell you it’s addictive and will mess up your life, especially if he plans on selling it to you in the future.
You seem to be a logical individual.
Logic is a series of truths built on an initial premise.
For example: we can accept the premise that the devil doesn’t exist. If this is the case, then we have nothing to worry about him or anything like paganism or yoga.
But if we accept the premise that the devil exists, then the emerging analysis begins to look very different. Especially if we accept the larger premise that the Bible is true.

Did it just this morning - quite a few times, in fact. As I do each morn. And, amazingly enough, I managed it with no input from Brahma, Vishnu, or Shiva.
You’re right that what matters is in the heart. Ultimately, if you’re in the spirit then you’re in God’s hands.
If you’re in the flesh, you’re within the devil’s reach. Not a good place to be.
Paganism is of the devil, and the power of the devil is greater than any power of our flesh. This is why we need to be in Christ.
