Biden Reportedly Slams Clinton: ‘I Never Thought She Was The Correct Candidate’

Former Vice President Joe Biden had harsh words for former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Thursday night.

“I never thought she was the correct candidate,” Biden said at the SALT conference in Las Vegas, according to Fusion reporter Hamilton Nolan. “I thought I was the correct candidate.”

TheStreet’s Ronald Orol, who was also at the SkyBridge Capital event, said the audience clapped at Biden’s comments.

“No man or woman should announce for the presidency unless they genuinely believe that for that moment in the nation’s history they are the most qualified person to deal with the issues facing the country,” TheStreet quoted him as saying.

And while he supported Clinton throughout the campaign, he has since been critical of her run, saying in December that she never knew why she was running. “I don’t think she ever really figured it out,” Biden said

Hillary knew exactly why she was running, as did everyone who voted against her. She wanted absolute power over the smallest minutia in every little person's life. She wanted control over what we eat, whether we receive medical care and how good or bad that care would be for her friends and especially for her numerous enemies, who we must work for whether we like it or not, and every other big and small detail that she could imagine. It was her turn, and nothing was going to stop her, not even if she had to be carried to the podium for her staff to play a prerecorded victory speech.

That is a rather stupid remark, because most who run do think they are the most qualified candidate and so do 100 Senators.

How many sitting and former senators have announced as candidates since 1972? 50 -- including Gore, Kerry, Clinton, Obama, Biden, Graham, McCain, Quayle, Hatch, Lieberman, Edwards, Dodd, Bayh, Thompson, Santorum, to name a few more well-known names. How many have actually won? One -- Obama.
