President Trump says he did not ask former FBI Director James Comey for a loyalty pledge, but doesn’t think it would be “inappropriate” to do so.
Jeanine Pirro of Fox News asked Trump Saturday night if he would ask the new FBI director for a pledge of loyalty.
“I want loyalty to the country,” Trump responded. “I want loyalty to the United States of America. I want him to do a great job–or her–to do a great job, and I think we have some wonderful candidates.”
Pirro asked Trump about reports from the New York Times that he asked Comey for loyalty.

I’d like to think he asked Comey to work a little harder with DCPD solving Seth Rich’s murder. Comey couldn’t pull it off.. his murder is really the linchpin of the IC’s co-corruptedness.

"Loyalty Pledge" to Trump, or "Loyalty Pledge" to the country? The second is the kind he said would not be inappropriate. The first was the supposed rumor. Making the distinction is kind of important, and its ridiculous that the reporter doesn't make it.
It was in a time and place long, long ago but - does anyone remember the manufactured rage that swept the nation when Linda Tripp told the truth under oath and embarrassed Monica and Bill.
The Dem/Media story then was that Linda betrayed friend Monica and nothing could be worse than that - nothing. That narrative went on for two years, and whenever two or more Democrats gather to defend the Clintons it is still a source of outrage in the mother church.
Loyalty among Democrats is always of the highest order unless there is an advantage in the opposite.
Comey is an employee of the Executive Branch of the Government.
He was not doing his job and his supervisor canned him.

Obama’s Holder and Lynch were always “Party First, Country Second”: his `Fast and Furious’ gun running to cartels to try and gaslight people on the 2nd; and her meeting with Mr. Bill on the tarmac—to discuss grandkids you know, and on and on.
Example, even Obama’s beard was wheeling & dealing. I have read that Aramark food services had federal contracts for school lunches. They were charging top prices for **** food, and people do things for reasons, especially those schooled in the Chicago way.
So much for Michelle’s “Won’t anyone think of the children?!” The NYT never disappoints. Clapper’s a proven liar, they all say whatever is expedient for them.
