President Trump hinted that it is “possible” that the FBI’s top post will be filled by Friday, according to a White House press pool report released Saturday. Trump mentioned that he might even make the final decision on who gets the top FBI post before he leaves for Saudi Arabia Friday, saying “even that is possible.”
“We can make a fast decision,” Trump said, explaining the FBI’s vetting process.
Trump spoke highly of the candidates for the position, describing them as “very well-known” and “highly-respected” people with a lot of talent, according to the pool report. The president did not say whether these candidates are being vetted for the interim director or permanent director position.
“Almost all of them are very well known,” he said. “They’ve been vetted over their lifetime, essentially. But very well known, highly respected, really talented people. And that’s what we want for the FBI.”
Four candidates for the permanent position to replace former FBI director James Comey are being interviewed Saturday by Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Fox News reported.
The four candidates include Assistant Attorney General Alice Fisher, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), and New York Court of Appeals Judge Michael J. Garcia.

I don’t think it will be a rushed decision. Comey has been a dead man walking in Trump’s eyes since before the election. He has had plenty of time to consider options.

Romney wasn’t AG, he was SoS—and reportedly real concern that Trump would go with him is why Bannon made the mistake of backing Tillerson as an alternative.

Gowdy is all horn and no driveshaft. He talks a good story but never delivers. But no Cornyn, no McCabe and no Rogers. The others all look like possibilities, especially Kelly.

Tillerson is supposed to be a globalist/neocon puppet actually directed by Condi Rice, who reportedly even holds meetings with his staff at State while he is traveling. He is also an ally with Jivanka pressing for the whole global warming/climate change hoax.

“SUPPOSED TO BE?” Just how do you KNOW that? I’d doubt Tillerson is anyone’s puppet, and the would go double for a Black woman. Besides, Condi is currently back out here at Stanford so she can look after her mother.

Rudy has recently said publicly that he doesn’t want the job. Besides, this is a ten year appointment and Rudy is 72. Do the math.

If you haven’t noticed, Condi has been making multiple media appearances plumping Tillerson after she had originally recommended him to Trump. (What Trump was doing taking Condi’s advice is another question.)
