The Washington Post threw some subtle shade at the Trump White House in issuing a correction on a story about Sean Spicer and his location among the bushes following the announcement of FBI Director James Comeys termination.
After an interview with Fox Businesss Lou Dobbs on Tuesday night, the White House press secretary disappeared into the shadows, huddling with his staff behind a tall hedge while news of Comeys firing unfolded and reporters sought more information, WaPos Jenna Johnson reported on Wednesday.
Later that day, an editors note was added to the bottom of Johnsons story, clarifying that Spicer had huddled with his staff among bushes, not in the bushes.

Here is another real good example of Washington Post #FAKENEWS.
Washington Post #FAKENEWS
They ran with Spicer hiding in the bushes, knowing that would be replayed everywhere.
Then Washington Post runs a “correction.” Buried somewhere... but whatever.
Washington Post #FAKENEWS
Washington Post LIARS!!
How sad is it when Fake News (Compost this time) needs the Puff Ho to shore up their lies?
It’s like everyone at the Compost is nuttier than Mad Maxine.
Where does the ComPost get its journos? Joseph Goebbels U?
Next story will be Trump had the CIA put ground glass in the Easter eggs last month.
“Fake News: WaPo Fabricated Viral Claim That Sean Spicer Was Hiding in Bushes”

After the Washington Post claimed that Press Secretary Sean Spicer was hiding in bushes to avoid questions from reporters about FBI Director James Comeys firing, the paper has once again had to admit that they published fake news.
In an article titled After Trump fired Comey, White House staff scrambled to explain why by Jenna Johnson, she made the spectacular claim that Spicer had actually hid in bushes to avoid questions from the Washington elite media.
After Spicer spent several minutes hidden in the bushes near these sets, Janet Montesi, an executive assistant in the press office, emerged and told reporters that Spicer would answer some questions, as long as he was not filmed doing so. Spicer then emerged, Johnson wrote.
The claim went rapidly viral, the latest bit of gossip to paint the White House as being run by a bunch of hapless nitwits.
...
He was great dealing with the Press that other day
Saturday Night Live skit with McCarthy as Spicer just writes itself.
He was passing inside info to representatives of a hedge fund! More billions for Trump!
There’s a reason they’re called presstitutes, eh?
I thought he was hiding behind George, Jeb and Momma Bush.
They used to write stories that HR Haldeman (Nixon) was such an “anti social weirdo” be would hide from people in dark rooms watching movies. Turned out he was an avid cinematographer. They were also the “German Mafia” because some were German.
Stay out of Da bushes meme comes to life
Am I the first? - “Stay out da Bushes!”
I am second.
...I’m getting to the point of going back to the past, where the media gets one, maybe two ‘editions’ per day. If they want protection to commit libel and slander, then they get to update their sites no more than twice a day (a ‘morning edition’ and an ‘evening edition’)...just as things were when the Bill of Rights was written.
If they want to be a real-time operation, that’s fine too - but they would no longer be protected by the First Amendment and the standards for libel and slander would be much lower.
In the media’s eye president Trump and his staff have done so much wrong in less than 4 months they cannot keep up with it.
That is an amazing record because in the previous 8 years Barack Obama did absolutely nothing wrong.
