We’ll lose Collins and Murkowski, and Flake and Sasse are potential trouble, but could be bought off. I would like very much to be able to get Manchin and/or Heitkamp in, even if it means they get another highway or something. This is one instance where earmarks could be useful.
Munchkin is facing re-election next year. It will be interesting to see if he tries pretending to be a conservative (It's a trap. Don't let him fool you.) or just doubles down on stupid.
“Will his solutions find enough support among people like Collins and McCain and Murkowski and Capito Graham? The GOP can only afford to lose three votes.”
We need to start flooding the offices of those mentioned above with phone calls to put pressure on them to do something about Obamacare and go along with the best repeal bill.
I would have picked Rand Paul but I am cure Cruz will consult with Paul (and Cotton).
Wish you had a link.
Not on this one. Manchin has too many constituents benefitting from Obamacare's Medicaid expansion. He can oppose Trumpcare and it won't hurt him next year. Heitkamp is in the same boat and has already indicated she'll vote against it. I don't see a single Democrat vote.
If true this is good news
Yer being setup Ted...
Whatever they do, they need to sunset Obamacare so the rats cannot use the 24 million people will lose coverage.
Mitch McConnell is mentioned in the following link.

OK good, thanks. Would have saved a lot of posting if you had posted the link in original post.
They will anyway. The GOP owns health care now. When Obamacare collapses, then they own it because it happened on their watch. When Trumpcare fails to live up to all the promises made, then they own it because they're the ones who made all the promises. The Democrats will happily wash their hands of all of this.
I know too many FReepers hate Ted Cruz and will never get over it, but I think he’s the right man for the job.
And so does President Trump. If you remember - Trump had Ted over to the White House for dinner several months back to map out a Senate strategy for TrumpCare.
Are we still hatin’ on Ted?
Obamacare is “stool,” period.
Good move by McConnell. He did great on Gorsuch also.
For me Cruz’s unacceptable because he wanted to raise H-1B caps by 500%!!! That is just plain out of touch and obvious K Street kowtowing.
