Ivanka Trump has been tapped by her father, President Donald Trump, to review the United States’ commitment to the Paris Climate Change agreement, signed by former President Barack Obama as an executive agreement in 2015 without congressional approval, the Associated Press is reporting.
The agreement requires countries to cut greenhouse emissions on a country-by-country basis, with Obama committing the U.S. to reduce carbon emissions by at least 26 percent below 2005 levels by 2025.
The U.S. is expected to have a representative at the United Nations’ climate change meeting in Bonn, Germany, next week but Trump’s advisers — including daughter Ivanka and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt — are meeting on Tuesday in Washington to decide whether to stick with or withdraw from the deal.

Look, I also have a daughter who is not ugly or stupid...but that doesn’t mean that I follow her advice on everything (or anything). It seems to me that Trump, over the last 50 years of doing business, has found that it is invaluable to have someone working for you that you trust implicitly to say what you want said, and to report back to you on what others said and did. I’ll be honest - I’m not thrilled with Ivanka (or her husband) being so close to working operations at the White House - but if that’s who the guy trusts, then who am I to second guess?
Let’s see what happens first, before leaping to conclusions.

Ivanka is like a human potemkin village. She goes to these meetings, says nice things to lib foreigners while the Trump agenda continues marching to the right.
He is sending someone who he trusts, yes. But she has bought into the Climate Change faith completely.
Yes, this will not be a good ending.
