The sister of White House senior adviser Jared Kushner reportedly pushed Chinese citizens in a presentation at a Beijing hotel to invest hundreds of dollars in a luxury New Jersey apartment complex that would help them obtain an investor visa.

...

Though Jared Kushner was not part of the event, his sister’s work in China for the Kushner family shows how his private business affairs could collide with his work in the Trump administration.

It is way past time for Jared and Ivanka to return to the private sector.

They continue to interfere with the staffing of hundreds of White House appointments and the implementation of Trump's agenda.

So it isn’t a problem for the media when The PIAPS sells the drapes in the Department of State and pockets the money but family members - who are unaffiliated with the White House - are problematic for conducting their business.

Yeah, if it were not for double standards the media would have no standards at all

Agreed. They belong in the private sector, period. The stench of Clintonitis will start to stick to them, we don’t want it or need it. Trump needs to bring in other people he can trust and work them 24/7 on public policy matters, not the blur that’s going on now with his family members. Its starts to resemble a third world dictatorship. Sheesh.

Who does she think she is?

This is serious stuff here.

This isn't like Tony Rodham's excellent gold mining adventure. This is close to Trump, so it's got to be suspect.

Kushner Global initiative..?

sorry but Bannon’s relatives never would have done this.

Through Chinese eyes this all looks exactly like GUANXI—connections.

So Trump’s son-in-law’s sister is involved in “selling” visas, but did anyone care one bit when it was Khizr Kahn, the immigration lawyer who spoke at the Democratic Convention, who was selling visas. I guess because Kahn was selling the visas to Muslims? Was Trump’s son-in-law’s sister speaking at the Republican convention?
Liberal hypocrisy as usual.

Last I heard, this is legal.

If you don't like it, change the law.

This is called an EB-5 visa

The fraud in the EB-5 program was mainly centered on foreigners essentially spending $500,000 just to gain entry into the U.S., not as a legitimate business investment venture. The EB-5 program is still current immigration law and there is nothing shady about it if done with the right intentions. Indeed, Trump wants to attract foreign investment. Now, suggesting that the President might do away with the program is the crux of the problem here because it suggests the speaker likely has inside information based relationship ties and is using the statement to motivate investments that are self-serving.

I wanted Trump to drain the swamp. Now he can’t because his liberal relatives are in it. When I voted and supported Trump I thought things would be different. It is looking like this is the same old crap.

When Canada did this, the Vancouver real estate market became one of the most expensive in the world as condos were built and sold to Chinese as a way to:
* invest money
* call it an investment for purposes of acquiring a Canadian visa
* have a place to stay when they fled China

Half a million dollars went from buying two condos to one small one, a million from buying two or three condos to one midmarket one or one small house.

It is way past time for Jared and Ivanka to return to the private sector.

Why? All I have seen are hit pieces and smears. If someone wants to sell citizenship to Chinese, I'm all for it (as long as the price is high enough). That is one way to MAGA.

I am sure glad that I am not held responsible for the actions of my sisters.

But...of the six kids, only ONE is a liberal so I guess we are doing OK.
