All speakers in the Rose Garden celebration agreed that the 217-213 House victory; to repeal and replace Obamacare, was a victory,non-political, and for the People. Well, it was a victory, and we'll take it. There is a long way to go, and at least none there denied it.
Aside of the sore backs and red palms, something did emerge from all the mutual admiration that did surprise me, and I hope is a good sign for the future. It seemed that Trump, and especially Rep, House Leadership, used this narrow victory to make peace and give Trump a lot of the credit. This should take a lot of steam out of the media's constant cry of just how split and hateful GOP Leadership Leadership in the House is with Trump. In fact it was more a love-in, more than a victory celebration.
O.K., give credit where it's due. It was a good victory, and a good show of unity. This one time! Now comes the Senate, which also relieved of the Budget until Sept., may just find the guts to go 51% on reconciliation, and go to Committee with the House. There we will see if this is the real deal, and/or IF a Trump Veto will send them all fleeing back to their sponsors on K St.
In any case accept love when it's offered. Who knows this my be reality, instead of another parallel universe.
In any we must be reassured that we are being reassured.

The next 2-4 months will may prove the we are both wrong, but hopefully not at the same time. Truth and reality is what we need in our country now. Political labels are meaningless.

The Freedom Caucus saw the light. Maybe others will too. Anyone with a brain knows there will be changes in the Senate and conference resolution, but failing to start the process was idiotic.
I would have liked to have seen a FULL repeal which could be done by prosecuting democrats for massive embezzlement of the US Treasury and by President Trump pointing out that Obamacare is insolvent which it truly is without question.
But President Trump deserves our support and I intend to get behind him and stay behind him.
Let’s hope the circular firing squad keeps its mouth shut tonight. It’s a start for a man who has only been the president for 3 months.

Majority in the house is 218 now, given the current numbers in the House. We got 217, they got 213, but the majority number still wins. As I recall 19 GOP Rhinos went against the bill. One voted Present. and to round out the official 435 membership, it looks like 4 members just didn’t vote.

I hope so too. I see some signs, but the Senate has to go the “ Nuke Option “ and pass the bill at 51% to go to Reconciliation Committee with the House. Whatever comes out has to, then, be passed by both House and Senate THEN it goes to Trump to sign or Veto.
All this in 2-3 months. We will know, and know for sure then. We will know if Trump vetos a bad bill he has the guts and character we thought he had, or not.
If the Senate thinks we're going to twiddle our thumbs and let them rest until September, they need to take a deep breath. The push and pestering starts now. We've got a great blueprint to work with. And no time to waste going into election season, with 10 seats to defend, and a few Dem seats ripe for the picking.
