The United States will shoot itself in the foot if it quits the Paris climate accord because China, India and Europe will snap up the best power sector jobs in future, U.N. Environment chief Erik Solheim said on Thursday.
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to announce as early as next week whether he will take the United States out of the climate pact, having vowed during his campaign to "cancel the Paris Climate Agreement" within 100 days of becoming president.
"There is no doubt where the future is and that is what all the private sector companies have understood," Solheim told Reuters in Geneva. "The future is green," he said.
"Obviously if you are not a party to the Paris agreement, you will lose out. And the main losers of course will be the people of the United States itself because all the interesting, fascinating new green jobs would go to China and to the other parts of the world that are investing heavily in this."

I have a better idea. Quit the United Nations AND the Paris climate deal.
We don’t have to do anything. Obama never got the approval of Congress, so his signature was invalid and fraudulent.
If China wants to employ our out of work EPA regulators, more power to them.
The opposite will happen. If the US leaves and makes power generation decisions based upon economic factors, electricity will be far cheaper in the US than other developed countries. Industries where energy prices are a critical factor will move here.

The purpose of a job is to produce something of value. It pays for itself. We don’t create work simply to work. If these green jobs are useful, American companies will create them.
And hopefully you will lose U. S. $ support. You are a worthless group.
What power sector jobs? The ones that syphon off billions of government funds, produce nothing, and shortly after go bankrupt, leaving a few well-positioned scammers with fabulous golden parachutes?
And let it destroy their economy. Should give the US an advantage.
