While it's commonly known by now that the new spending bill that Congress and the Trump administration agreed to funds mostly Democratic priorities, and doesn't fund President Trump's border wall, what's not widely known is that the new legislation goes even farther than this. Not only does it not fund the border wall, but it prevents the government from constructing a border wall with any funds.

"Trump hasnt solved every problem in 94 days. I hate him. What a sell out."
Exactly. Plus, what is STILL HAPPENING is that bids are being accepted to have 5 or 6 companies build a short stretch of the wall this summer. The winner will be chosen some time after that, and I'd be surprised if it wasn't September or later. We don't yet have a way to SPEND any money on the wall.

If Trump vetoes there is a shutdown until they override the veto. That seems to me to be what he is signaling, they will not hold him hostage a second time.

They sold War Bonds in WW1 & 2, why not WALL BONDS?
I would buy a few to get rid of the illegals and their drug smuggling and gangs. I'm sure many conservatives would too. If you have young children it could help with college funding. Or your or their protection.

The wall is one battle that I can assure you Donald Trump is going to lose with Congress. It has nothing to do with Democrats, either -- despite his silly Twitter message on the subject.
Open borders and "free trade" are elements of the official platform of the national Republican Party.

It would have been best to find out.

I’m not seeing it in there either. At least not under the appropriate section.
I’m thinking this may say something about not using “infrastructure funds” or other creative funds for the wall.

Same thing when some Associate Assistant Judge of the 521st Court of Appeals in the 81st District of Lower-Nebraska in the Dogcatcher Division manages to halt valid executive orders of the POTUS completely baffles me.

This bill not only doesnt fund it, but also bans its construction
Has anyone actually read these exact words? I don’t believe it says anything like that!

One defense I'll offer for the GOP is that they aren't really passing a budget bill here. I don't think a 2017 budget was every approved by Congress. The U.S. government is basically operating through a series of "continuing resolutions" aimed at simply extending previous outlays -- and this is just the latest (and last) of those resolutions.
The entire government of this country is broken, if you haven't figured this out. Trump ain't going to fix it no matter how good his intentions may be. You can't fix a broken government when the country itself is broken beyond repair.

Yes, I agree with Trump’s 9:07am tweet -— change to allow closure with 51 votes!! Ted Cruz has also suggested this. THAT, and TRUMP, will MAGA!

Maybe all the people you've been calling "Free Traitors" over the years simply recognize that they have no obligation to be loyal to a country run by such a fouled up bunch of people. Ok, so you are not loyal and admitting your traitor status. How great. If so then FOAD quickly and say hello to Adolf when you get there.

Why would I invest in a country when some malcontent who calls himself “Central VA” and claims to be a patriot is advocating for a violent uprising?
To: central_va
Neither of which you have problem with. Really? LOL.
Go back to bed, you stupid fool. If you think I have no problem with either of these, then you don't have a clue about me.

VETO IT.
Force them to start again
We spent eight years without a budget. Why get sticky about having one now?

Dear traitor,
I didn’t advocate anything. I made an observation that the counties problems will have to be solved the battlefield.
