Now, Ill be totally honest with you I dont even know what Shrimp Creole is. So I looked it up

Okay, so this stuff is eaten with rice. Makes sense, anybody interested in storing long-term food will certainly have a sack of rice or ten.

Gee, thanks for posting those photos. Now that my mouth is watering, I’m gonna have a craving for any one of them, and there isn’t a restaurant within a hundred miles of here that knows how to prepare any of them. After I post this, my grocery list is going to have a bunch of additions to it.
I think Mountain House is Freeze Dried, for back packers.

Having eaten a lot of Mountain House freeze dried food, probably yes.
Absent moisture, the food won’t decay. It boils down to how well did the foil packets keep out the moisture.
I would ascertain if there are clumps indicating moisture intrusion. If not, it is probably ok.
In the article he said it was clumpy..............
I would not have even considered it edible...............
The key to a good gumbo is the small loan you have to take out to make it.
Mountain House is the standard for freeze-dried backpacking food. I found a packet of their Seafood Chowder more than a decade old and heated it up to see if it was still edible. It was better than that, it was so good I tried to buy more. Alas, the individual servings are now a discontinued line.
Paprika?? No self-respecting Cajun or Creole ever put paprika in anything.
