8 years of no body counts. But I guess we’re in a new phase now.
A lot of people died in Obama’s Afghanistan surge. Maybe you just weren’t paying attention.

“...ISIS Operation” refers to an Obama Administration policy.
There’s an American CIC in the White House now; the headline should read “...Anti-ISIS Operation”
I think I remember the media giving Obama full credit for a brilliant and successful military operation.
I don’t remember a nightly roll-call of dead Americans due to Democrat leadership of the war. I think the emphasis was elsewhere.
It’s MOAB time
Probably a couple of MOABs on the way now. If I remember, we had a US serviceman KIA and it resulted in one MOAB.
Pretty sure ClearCase_guy was being sarcastic.
We will hear about every single casualty now from the MSM just because Trump is now CinC.
I hope so.
Prayers for the dead and the wounded and their families.
Taliban vs ISIS in Afghanistan and we fight against ISIS. Pro-Assad forces vs ISIS in Syria and we fight against Assad forces (and Kurds for that matter). Makes sense /s. IMHO not one drop of American blood is worth any of them. “Surges” are a tactic that the enemy easily waits out while still inflicting casualties upon us. Meanwhile the Norks and Iranholes play nuclear poker.
Prayers for family, brothers-in-arms, friends, and those in command. Soldiers rest in peace, love, and joy. You exemplify the greatest love.
Scorched earth.
Damn it.
Heard at 7-PM news that they were Army Rangers.
This one hurts. One of the young men killed was a friend of the family. Let’s please not bring politics into this thread. These were young men who paid the ultimate price.
And we should hear about them. They are our soldiers and deserve to be remembered.
Trump is finally letting the military take the fight to the Taliban. “The best defense is a good offense”.
RIP, our heroes.
They are our soldiers and deserve to be remembered.

I most definitely agree. And we should remember to pray for them and their families.
The point that was being discussed is the approach of the media to reporting such deaths. Military casualties under Obama were not reported, but, under Trump, we can expect to hear about them a lot so that people fault Trump’s leadership.
This issue is treated as homelessness is by the media. One must assume that during a Democrat president’s administration, there are Democrat politicians who are putting the homeless up in their own homes. Otherwise, why is it the homeless seem to disappear during a Democrat administration? As soon as a Republican assumes the presidency, homelessness comes to the forefront once again.
