An Army veteran was thrown behind bars Tuesday for allegedly tying her PTSD therapy dog to a tree and shooting him five times at close range killing the poor pup for no apparent reason while a soldier filmed it.
...
Court documents obtained by the Fayetteville Observer describe how she teamed up with her boyfriend, Jarren Heng, 25, for the seemingly random killing earlier this month.
The couple allegedly led the white and gray pit bull to a wooded area before tying him to a tree and taking his life. ... ultimately was shot five times with a rifle as Rollins and Heng, who is still enlisted and stationed at Fort Bragg, took turns filming him.
Let me hit him once, Heng can be heard saying in the video.
Throughout the disturbing clip, he and Rollins both laugh and joke about the dogs brutal death ...

Crummy “humans.”
What does being a vet have to do with any of this?
They could state their names without referring to her as an Army vet.
I believe they called her a vet to bad mouth veterans in general.
That woman looks crazier than her red-eye pitbull in that picture.
If you can measure crazy by tattoos and piercings, she’s your example. I never saw a bridge-of-the-nose piercing before. I didn’t know it existed.
If you had to have a dog like that or a woman like that watch your baby, pick the dog.
PURE EVIL!!!
A pitbull as a therapy dog? Really?
The money quote.
Odds are the dog became dangerous.
Unfortunately a vocal percentage of Freepers have far more in common with Obama’s “pajama boy” than with our troops. Actual gun use (as opposed to mere ownership) terrifies them. They will take any opportunity to disparage our veterans. To a lot of people doing things yourself instead of incurring a veterinary Bill is just not fair. These milksops would have to shell out money, why should competent non-squeamish people not also pay?
Thank you to all the blame veterans first crowd on this thread.
Scumbags
“It was a pit bull? Never mind then.”
It was one of God’s creatures. Pit Bulls have fighting tendencies, but they only become dangerous without proper ownership. They can be affectionate, loyal and gentle.
These scumbags deserve heavy jail terms and I hope they live with guilt for the rest of their lives. Cruelty of this natuare cannot be excused because of the breed.
Fully agree with your post. I myself am from a rural background, and I know that animals do sometimes have to be put down. Death is a part of life. But cruelty of this type is something different. It is the worst of crimes and it is only a matter of time before they move on to crimes against humans.
This psycho and her boyfriend are clearly violent mental cases. If the BF is still serving, he should be discharged and barred from the service. Give them both 2 years in the joint for starters.
Not to mention record it. Then put it on social media. There’s some truly bizarre and damaged people out there.
Freegards
Facts are facts.
I do not know what they were thinking, but if they were thinking that this dog will grow up to be dangerous, and that perhaps someones life or face will be saved by killing it, I cannot fault them for doing it.
Pit Bulls kill more people than any other dog. They maul more people than any other dog. They can be perfectly fine for years, and then some day something will just set them off and they go into attack mode... against their owners, against children, against anyone around.
I've heard theories to explain it, but I have no idea if any of them are true. What I do know is that a lot of people have been hurt and killed by sudden attack mode in these dogs.
I do not like the idea of someone just killing a dog, especially one that has given no indication of a dangerous nature, but Pit Bulls are a breed that I would very greatly worry about.
They certainly should not be kept by someone with children or expecting children. There has been too much heartache caused by doing this.
I don’t trust pits and would never never own one.
I don’t object to people “shooting their own dog” if they can do it humanely. I know pit bulls have thick skulls.
Shooting the dog and making a game of it? Shooting it five times, when they’re both supposed to be well trained in the use of firearms? They’re wicked, warped people and I’d rather live next door to pit bulls than to humans like that.
If you feel that a pit bull (or some other dangerous animal needs to be killed) you should be motivated by grim determination, and not a love of killing.
They should have returned the dog if they didn’t want it. Along with their punishment, I hope they get professional help.
You are correct. But they wouldn’t need professional help if I could get them at my mercy and ...
Oh, never mind.
