US To North Korea: 'We Will Attack If You Do Any Of These Five Things'
Daily Star ^ | April 25, 2017 | By David Trayner

THE US has laid out its red lines to North Korea - and warned it will attack if Kim Jong-un crosses them.

America will launch a pre-emptive strike against the Hermit Kingdom if it attacks a military base or gets anywhere near developing a missile capable of reaching the US mainland, Donald Trump's UN ambassador has revealed.

The US also warned Crazy Kim's trigger-happy regime against testing any other missiles, any nuclear weapons - or taking any other provocative action.

Haley messed up, big time. Her phrasing of the conditions under which the U.S. would attack NK left a lot of room for interpretation on the part of NK leadership. Some of you will remember that that is exactly why the FIRST Korean War started, and probably contributed to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. For example, why would she specify a NK attack on a military base as opposed to an attack on a Republic of Korea or Japanese city? Words have meaning.

Meh, Obama never means it. He’ll just find excuses to...wait. He’s not president.

This could get interesting. :)

Bluster when we have a gutted military and a public full of pacifists? First, Trump needs to try to rally the nation against the threat, as Winston Churchill did in his era.

To everyone who criticized Trump for bombing Syria following the gas attack.

Because of that, Kim is muttering to himself, ‘Do I feel lucky? Well, do I, punk?’

This is, at the end of the day, and ankle biter that we’re trying to find an excuse to squish. I don’t think it’s about getting the American people on board. When it comes to NK, they have been for a long time. I think it’s about China.

And it is looking that that particular issue may have been taken care of.

China is not ready for a wider war. Most of their military technology improvements are just leaving the drawing boards and not really in full deployment. China does not want the North to be an American base. China will first bluff and bluster to scare Trump off. When that doesn’t work they will invade and take the little shrimp off the throne themselves. (The present approach is to create a fertile ground for the NK dictator to be removed by a coup. That hasn’t, thus far, worked and time is running out.)

China used NK as a tool. But times and the need for the tool have moved on. Now, that tool is a big eyesore and a huge potential problem. China needs to control the change or their border cities will be swamped with millions of starving and sick refugees.

Look for China to be the ground and the US and South Korea to be the air power.

I’d say the US dropping the MOAB on IS in Afghanistan has more to do with any hesitation on Kim’s part than the fake Syrian air base attack...ymmv

Last Thursday, I drove from Fort Bragg (Fayetteville NC) to Washington DC. Driving up I95 there were numerous military troop movements; in my assessment they were either Navy or USMC vehicles probably on return to station after the semi-annual exercises in Korea. Depleted military? Absolutely, I saw over a 100 vehicles in a dozen different instances, but four times I saw vehicles broken down on the freeway. This speaks to the sad state of logistical readiness of our military.

When I was in the first assigned to the 82d Abn Div, we had a Division Readiness Force which was one battalion on 2-hour standby to be the first to deploy. The first time our battalion took over DRF1, we went over the motor pool at n=midnight the day before the assumption inspection, and we took distributors, break pads and other equipment off the very vehicles of a sister battalion coming off DRF1, all with the coordination of the two battalion motor officers/sergeants. This is the very state of readiness we see today on display - just as 1974-75, the nation has overtaxed the military and under funded her. From Nixon to Clinton, the worst years were the four under Carter, but Clinton was a slow bleed to the bottom.

Hopefully, we’ll use our little magic secret spaceship to destroy those 2 Nork sats before striking anything....just to be sure those aren’t something nasty in disguise.

The MOAB was aimed at ISIS. The Syrian bombs targeted a misbehaving country. Kim likely identifies more with Assad, they both being dictators in their own countries.

Generally speaking, you and I are on the same page. Bottom line is that Kim has lost his “Attacking me is like attacking China” status. His days are numbered.

Old vulcan proverb: Only Nixon could go to china.

New proverb: Only Trump could take out NK. Imagine NK becoming “friendly” kind of like China is. It would be a small scale version of the Berlin wall coming down.
