Why can’t the Clintons just go away?
New York Post ^ | 4/22/2017 | Maureen Callahan

Posted on 04/22/2017 11:32:55 AM PDT by simpson96

Since losing the most winnable presidential election in modern American history, Hillary Clinton has, among other things: given a series of high-profile speeches, joined Gov. Cuomo at his public unveiling of tuition-free college, refused to rule out a run for mayor of New York and issued an online video message exhorting fellow Democrats to fight on in her name.

“The challenges we face,” she said, “as a country and a party, are real.”

Clearly, Hillary still sees herself as the leader of the Democratic Party. And why shouldn’t she? Democrats have been locked in an abusive relationship with the Clintons for decades, enabling, explaining, convincing themselves that next time will be different. Party faithful hew to Hillary’s excuses for losing to Donald Trump: It’s James Comey’s fault, plus the Russians, white supremacists, misogynists, the deplorables and immobilized millennials, among other things.

Her losses in 2008 and 2016 have been framed as things that happened to Hillary —not one, but two Black Swan events that stymied her historic destiny.

How is it that Democrats have fealty here, let alone sympathy? How is it that Hillary routinely walks into standing ovations at Broadway theaters? Where is the realization that Hillary is to blame or the rational rejection of a two-time loser?

Any debate about what happened last November ends with Tuesday’s publication of “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign.” Journalists Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes spent the past two years talking to Hillary’s most trusted advisers, and what emerges is damning.

Every mistake made in her 2008 run was compounded in 2016: the paranoia, the staff infighting, the underestimation of the intra-party wild card, the self-righteousness, the failure to connect with average voters, the belief that because it was her turn the presidency would be hers. It’s “Groundhog Day” with global consequences.

Incredible. It’s like a dream. First a hilarious article ridiculing Chelsea in Vanity Faire and now THIS. I didn’t think the MSM would ever state the obvious about the Clintons. They must feel like she’s going down and NOW they want to distance themselves???? After making “in-kind” contributions to her campaign, hiding the truth about her with lies, the MSM thinks we’ll forget if they just sneer at her NOW???

Because just like the rest of the obama socialist-democrat crowd, leftist socialist democrats are like a bad rash that just refuses to go away.

This is good, she can take the entire ship down with her when it sinks.

For some, the only drug more addictive than power is the abuse of power.

Jail is where they should go with Obama, and a host of others.

Hillaryland and other Democrats keep coming up with various reasons for Hillary’s loss. They talk of the Russians, James Comey and the FBI, people voting against Hillary because she’s a woman....................

I have yet to hear any liberal or Hillary hangers on, or any Democrats, talk of how Hillary is a bad politician. She’s a bad candidate for office. She has a lousy speaking style, tone of voice, and hectoring/lecturing mannerisms which turn people off. Hillary represented four more years of Obama style liberalism, which also turned people off.

Hillary has had no great accomplishments on her own, which would make her a good candidate for president in the first place.

Of all of the ruminating by the liberals after the election, none have talked of what I just mentioned, how Hillary is a rotten politician in the first place.

They are all in denial. Since in their view, Hillary and liberalism are so wonderful, there had to be some unseen unpredictable outside force, which resulted in Hillary being denied the Oval Office. It couldn’t have anything to do with Hillary herself, in their view.

If they go away how can they get money for their foundation or justify their continued breathing to some of the questionable interests that gave them millions?

They don’t stop because they do not dare.

Or they realize that the survival of the liberal party requires rejecting the corrupt Clintons. Giving up the Clinton cult of personality but remaining with the liberal ideology.

Hillary is now like an albatross around the left’s throats. They’ve known since Bubba’s days in the White House that Hillary didn’t have the political chops to make it to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave on her own. Yet, they wanted a woman president so bad that they put their doubts aside about her and did everything to could to get her over the top. They figured let’s get her to the White House and we’ll worry about her shortcomings later. Now that she’s a two time loser who won’t go away they don’t know what to do with her. HA HA. You Dems created that witch and now you’re stuck with her. She’s not going away quietly and her public appearances will just keep reminding the American electorate why they didn’t want her as president.

If Chelsea were smart (duh) she’d spend the next 15 years quietly raising her kids and doing something of substance. Forget the Clinton Money Laundering Foundation, she could get involved in some do-gooder bluestate charity and actually serve rather than shoot off her mouth and try to run the joint. in 15 years she’ll be 50, with a track record of something other than DNA (half of which is questionable anyway). Bill and Hill will likely both be gone, few people will even remember who she was, and she’d have a halfway decent shot at something like the Senate.

But she won’t. These people are tone-deaf, not because they can’t hear but because every other voice is drowned out by the over-amplified sound of their own ego. They can’t see because they are blinded by their own self-importance. Something about price and falls...

City Democrats and country Democrats are different. The reality is that, in states like Wisconsin and Michigan, people who voted a straight Democrat ticket, did not vote for her as president. In Michigan there were 85,000 of them. Trump won the state by 10,000. In one county that Obama won in the north suburbs of Detroit, Hillary lost by over 40,000 votes. Again, showing that its not a republican sweep or a race thing. Its a Hillary thing. There are huge numbers of people who will never pull the lever for Hillary.

Besides her tone and style, Hillary is corrupt. Almost every scandal of Bill Clinton Presidency was about her. Its amazing that the President’s wife could cause so many scandals. She was even brought before a grand jury. And she had never held elective office at the time.

The reality is that those who do vote for the person they like instead of the party they like, will never vote for Hillary. Trump had it right. She is a nasty lady. And everybody can see it.

Incredible. It’s like a dream.

Not really. There are a few democrats with some brains and they know that unless the dems start to try to appeal to the working class voters, they will wander in the desert for 40 years.

Look which party has the White house, Congress, and the majority in state governors and other state pols. If it weren't for the agitprop media, we might never even hear about the democrats.
