Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez was discovered hanged in his cell by a corrections officer Tuesday night, according to a statement from the Massachusetts Department of Correction.
Hernandez's body was found at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley Massachusetts at approximately 3:05 a.m.
Hernandez hanged himself with a bed sheet attached to his cell window. He had also attempted to block the door from the inside by jamming the door with various items.
He was pronounced dead at 4:07 a.m. by a physician at the hospital.

Amen. Second it.
How do you know that?
Meyer went to visit Hernandez on a recruiting trip to his home. He saw all these half smoked joints lying around the house and said “WTF”? Hernandez mother told Meyer “this is our lifestyle- if you want my son to sign with your school you’ll have to accept it.”

i’m in the football business....see post #24
1. Hernandez kills Person A some time ago but isn't identified as the culprit at the time.
2. Hernandez kills Person B a few years later because Person B was a witness to the murder of Person A.
3. Hernandez is arrested for the murder of Person B. During the course of this investigation the police figure out that he also killed Person A.
4. He goes on trial for the murder of Person B. He's convicted and sentenced to a mandatory life sentence without parole.
5. In March 2017 he goes on trial for the murder of Person A. He's acquitted of this murder.
Pard, the Feds should have the kind of security protocols the NFL has in place. The NFL knows what its getting, what its hires are doing. It sees all. But it doesn’t give a cr@p until an employee gets caught.
His older brother D.J. played for the University of Connecticut football team.
Not surprised by your posting info.
FWIW, I don’t think the dude offed himself.
In a heavy duty state prison?
I would stick with the sucide reality and not get into the conspiracy theory stuff.
Maybe he offed himself because he was all broken up about missing an opportunity to meet President Trump with the rest of the Patriots. :-P
wrong again- immediately after the Hernandez incident went down and they realized there could be problems they had no idea about, teams started bringing in retired FBI profilers to watch videos of interviews done by players, interviews primarily at the NFL combine, to see if the profilers could pick up any hints the NFL would have no clue about...
Bedsheets.
Gah, people, mind your adverbial phrases! It's not suicide if the corrections officer hanged him.
Have no clue who this particular jock faggot was, but he was convicted of murder, now he is dead. That’s appropriate, however it happened.
I've seen it *up close and personal*.
In the 80s and 90s I trained with a group of guys
- two won national titles -
out of four that I knew for sure were on the juice
three are dead.
But in all three cases, not before totally "flipping out"
resulting in major mayhem and destruction of both
property and relationships.
Not that I’m a fan of the guy but to me this points to him not having committed the murder of which he was just acquitted. If he was going to kill himself anyway he wouldn’t have bothered with a defence. It seems like he wanted to clear his name of at least one murder (the one he didn’t do) and then he was ready to go.
Incidentally, it seems like the guy who was in the car with him and testified against him got away with murder.
Frankly it would not surprise me if it was suicide by hanging because his life was over.
I am no conspiracy theory stuff nut person.
He displayed thuggish tendencies while at the Univ. of FL playing football but Urban Meyer, the head coach, kept him on the field.
