As the Trump administration expands its aggressive enforcement efforts against those who may have entered this country illegally, John Tsoukaris is responsible for implementing the president's new policies in New Jersey.
Tsoukaris, the Newark Field Office Director for Enforcement and Removal Operations at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, said the administration's executive order that expanded the definition of "criminal aliens" has changed the rules of engagement for his agency.
"The executive order basically expands who we should be arresting," he said during an interview in his 11th floor conference room in the federal building in Newark.

The ones being given work permits by the Trump administration under the illegal DACA program are not going to self deport.
The rulrs of etiquette are what they are. There are and always will be exceptions as you have shown.
I t does not matter how long an illegal alien has been an illegal alien. If they are an illegal alien, they ARE subject to removal.
ALL of them.
We should not have to wait until they harm or kill Americans before they are removed.
I want ICE to show up the next time some Democrat CongressIdiot decides to bring an Illegal to the State of the Union...
This article is encouraging to those of us in occupied territory. A good start.
Very true. My sister married a great Hungarian guy, and she would get annoyed when he would break into his family's native language when they visited the family. It made her feel isolated.
(She eventually "weaned" him away from doing that, LOL)
100% agree
We should be supplying all of them with Manuals on How To Overthrow their own Corrupt Government, a force of 30-40 Million Deportee’s should be able to get the Job done.
My wife is asian. English only at the house.
The comment I addressed certainly wasn’t what the vast majority of us think. We simply advocate for the enforcement of the law.
In this instance, I’d have to agree his actions come very close to matching your description.
If it’s isolated we could reference it as a lapse in judgement.
If it’s a continual thing, then it is troll activity.
100% agreed!!!
It's also a rule of thumb to not listen in on the conversations of others.
Americans can speak whatever friggin' language they feel like speaking. I don't see a caveat that the First Amendment only applies to those speaking English.
To become a U.S. Citizen, the general rule states that you must speak, read, write, and understand English.
My wife is a native born citizen from native born parents from Arizona. She is fluent in English as well. There are Spanish-speaking Americans who have been in this country since the mid-1800s.
I didn’t say the 1st Amendment applied only to those speaking English...zi said the 1st Amendment applied to Americans...
As stated, to be an American citizen, you must speak, read, write, and understand English...
I said nothing about your wife...
“...There are Spanish-speaking Americans who have been in this country since the mid-1800s...”
That’s fine...They also speak English...Correct????
Where is the legal requirement that they do such, if they are native born citizens?
Bullcrap, you said this:
No, the 1st Amendment applies to Americans..Americans speak English when around other Americans...
Which clearly implies that speaking in Spanish is not speech protected by the First Amendment. Guess what, bucko? Freedom means sometimes people speak in a language you won't understand.
You are correct.
People talk crap all the time. Ya can’t stop them. And they can talk all different versions of crap.
This is a truly great country.
Yeah...The 1st Amendment applies to Americans...
Try reading it over and over...maybe one year, it will sink in....bucko....
Well, you are the one implying that Spanish is somehow a less-protected form of speech. So own your own posts.
