After barring Arkansas from executing eight inmates in rapid succession because of a dispute over how it obtained one of its execution drugs, Judge Wendell Griffen went to an anti-death penalty rally, where he made a stir by lying down on a cot and binding himself as though he were a condemned man on a gurney.
Griffen's participation in Friday's protest outside the governor's mansion sparked outrage among death penalty supporters, including Republican lawmakers who described it as judicial misconduct and potential grounds for Griffen's removal from the bench.

1) In a totally impartial manner, stop eight executions, strictly on the basis of law, alone.
2) In a totally biased and partial manner, attend anti-death-penalty march and make a complete spectacle of yourself by strapping yourself to a gurney.
3) PROFIT!
The howls would be deafening.
As I said, he'd be out of a job by the end of the next business day.
In fact, he'd be lucky not to be facing prosecution for judicial misconduct, if not death at the hands of a lynch mob. His family would be in danger too.
Judges have been killed in the recent past.
Some of you liberal hack lurkers from the mainstream media (we know you’re here) try and sell us on the notion “judges respect the law, they’re not political.”
BS. Constitutional judges, yes....but liberal judges DON’T respect law. This is just the latest example.
WHAT???
Since when is a Judge allowed to display such callous disregard for the will of the people?
Judge Roy Bean would have had a hugh party and hung them all at once, with drinks on him if he was presiding over this sordid legally retarded from the bench activity.
What’s wrong with Rope??
“...Judge Roy Bean would have had a huge party and hung them all at once...”
Yep! Arkansas has come a lonnnnggggg way since Judge Roy Bean and apparently not for the better. This so-called “judge” would be dangling right along with em. a return to the old days would not be a bad thing.
Leftists just cannot help but overreach. He stopped multiple executions by his own kingly decree. There was a rally in his hometown, which surely pleased him. But he had to risk his career by not only attending, but by also being the center of attention and laying down on a mattress to be faux-executed. Nothing is ever enough for these emotional cripples.
Or make them share cell with a cannibal serial killer doctor.
The families of the victims need to have something public to say about this, if they can get the time of day from the msm.
Judges are not sacred...just say’n.
Judge Wendell Griffen gave aid and comfort to the enemy. Following his trial, conviction and sentencing, he should be publicly marched up the steps of the gallows and hanged.
Every liberal is a violent totalitarian thug.
Some one file a complaint and demand his disbarment and judicial removal
If he’s a fed it’s a violation of the Hatch act
The condemned will be just as dead if Arkansas skips the paralytic and simply proceeds with the other two drugs: midazolam and potassium.
Strange, I seem to remember that Richard Speck got and fully deserved the death penalty for murdering eight nurses in Chicago; the judge congratulated the jury on their decision and the Supreme Court invalidated Speck’s conviction. The devil went on to live another 30 years partying in an Illinois prison. Why doesn’t the same standard apply to this “judge”?
An Arkansas attorney should file a complaint with the Arkansas Bar Association about his conduct.
So this judge is only following the model provided by his liberal, political judicial standard bears.
This judge needs to retire.
