RED BANK -- The borough council voted along party lines at its meeting Wednesday night to declare Red Bank a "welcoming and inclusive community" in regards to immigration.

The three Democrats on the council voted for the resolution, while the three Republican members voted against it. Red Bank Mayor Pasquale Menna, a Democrat, broke the tie with a "yes" vote.

The resolution acknowledges the immigrant community in Red Bank, but stops short of declaring the borough of 12,000 people a "sanctuary city

Isn’t Redbank kind of “upscale”?

Red Bank is on the Shrewsbury River so it has a really neat little Portside Town feel. I think if you use the railroad track as the proverbial line in the land between the railroad track in the river is the most desirable place to live will all the nice stores and restaurants. The other side of the tracks it’s Cherry Street. That street is Ben Spanish for so long they kicked out all the black people. That part is next to Shrewsbury. There’s always crap going on down there. The Catholic Church nearby is very hospitable to immigrants. That part of red bag my house will be Mexico or El Salvador or some Central American country.

Redbank it’s also home Jay and Silent Bob stash. And the birthplace of the guy from Jersey.

I don’t think red bag has that pic of a gay overtime nowheres near as Asbury Park which is 5 miles down the road. But it’s a community Hub to New York City and if you have a loft in Red Bank they can walk to the train and if you live near the office in the city it’s not too shabby with place to live.

There’s an awesome Chinese food place on Mom in the street I highly suggest it. BYOB 2. Try the Grand Marnier shrimp it’s awesome.

It’s a damn shame. Redbank is north of me by about 20 minutes. Always used to be an upscale kind of place. Last few years illegals have been making in roads. The place is turning into a dump.

Reminds me of the German town where the mayor volunteered to take in Islamic invaders. The mayor got slapped in the head with a two by four.

I tell you they're a plague. Every where illegals end up in time everything goes to hell.

Ashes in Red Bank was a great steak house and cigar club. I loved going there. It’s going to turn into a sh*t hole.

>I’ll bet everyone there is feeling very smug and morally superior.

By the time the snowflakes feel nothing and are mortally dead from those they trusted to be good little jihadi, it’s obviously too late for their sorry posteriors.

Maybe if they have any kinfolk left, they will reconsider idiocy.

I like Red Bank. Classic, suburban coastal Jersey town.

Hopefully State Sen. Jennifer Beck (R-Red Bank) will do something about it. She is a Republican.

FYI, In my aborted attempt to comment on the “http://www.nj.com"; comment section, “http://www.nj.com"; is identified as an insecure site for such things as userids/passwords.

Well duh. It most likely is run by democrat morons...just like the ones that lost in 2016. NJ is enough to make me not wonder about my justified bias against democrat and islam retards.

“insert some clever WTF is wrong with some dem and allah retards here...”

Jon Stewart has a home there. It is a nice town but the gentrification with the loss of all the old “antique” centers (and a Fanny Farmer's in the 1990s!) and expensive bad restaurants and expensive bad theater have made it a lot less interesting than when I owned a condo in Ocean Grove for many years and used to visit. Also, the whole train station is a sanctuary city as far back as 1992. It was and is a haven for the homeless, drug addicts complete with a muster zone half a block away.

"I’ll bet everyone there is feeling very smug and morally superior."

Besides that, is there anything that the resolution actually does? It sounds miles short of declaring Red Bank a "sanctuary city".
