Jon Stewart has a home there. It is a nice town but the gentrification with the loss of all the old “antique” centers (and a Fanny Farmer's in the 1990s!) and expensive bad restaurants and expensive bad theater have made it a lot less interesting than when I owned a condo in Ocean Grove for many years and used to visit. Also, the whole train station is a sanctuary city as far back as 1992. It was and is a haven for the homeless, drug addicts complete with a muster zone half a block away.

Remember that it was also home of the famous “running doctor”...George Sheehan.
