Meh. I’m still disgusted that they did not make the Thrwan trilogy as the new trilogy. It was a mistake.
Yes, the “Force Awakens” made money, merely on the premise it was “Star Wars.” But “Rogue One” was a better movie by several galaxies.
The last two Star Wars pictures were okay but there seems to be a real effort to make them more about Female Warriors than anything else. What was too much was in “The Force Awakens” you have that girl, who without any Jedi training at all, is able to fly the Millennium Falcon and fight with a Light Saber like she was an old hand at it. Kind of strained the credibility of being a Jedi. Just my opinion.
Love the new strains of the familiar Force theme at the end. Music for the Apocalypse!!
The EU canon was world’s better.
But the Imperial Remnant and Thrawn were new ideas and Disney wanted a soft reboot.

Last Christmas someone pointed out that there had been a Star Wars Christmas special after the original 1977 movie came out. I tried to watch it, it was terrible, plot was trying to get Chewie home for Christmas to be with his family, I never knew he had a family. Link Below:
