U.S. forces have dropped what is known as the "mother of all bombs" in Afghanistan. The device is the largest non-nuclear device in the Air Force arsenal, Fox News' Jennifer Griffin reported. It was dropped in Nangarhar Province, an eastern area near the Pakistan border. It's the first time the 21,000-pound ordnance has been used in combat, said Griffin. The device, developed in 2003 by the U.S. Air Force, is called the M.O.A.B, short for Massive Ordnance Air Blast. It's often referred to as the "mother of all bombs." Watch the report above.

What? Dang man, pay attention. You completely missed my point. I’m talking about what Trump can or should tell the American People about this stuff.

Some info on the GBU-43/B bomb, at the link...

The MOAB weapon is based upon the same principle as the BLU-82 “Daisy Cutter”, except that it is larger and has a guidance system.

Ok folks, what are we to think of this? I would still vote for Trump, but I'm not sure what to think of this bombing. And now there are news articles about committing 50,000 troops into Syria?

At what point do we say, "oh hell no, stay out of Syria, it isn't our fight!"

You completely missed my point. What the hell ya think I’m talking about? Pay attention.

Once again, what is there to say? The corrupt professional political experts have been doing nothing but talk for decades while we decline and become weaker. Look at our borders for example. Nothing but lies and lip service for decades.

Enough talk.

At what point? Lets see, should you wait until it actually happens? Or simply go berserk now because the media is putting out endless bull sh*t articles only met to undermine and compromise Trump?

Let me know what you decide.

Re: “What’s even stranger is the fact you posted this gibberish.”

What is your un-strange explanation for why Trump refused to destroy a bunker full of Assad's chemical weapons?

Doesn’t look like the B2 can carry either - unless bomb bay was modified - weight limit is 18,000 lbs.

Here's some data on both the 43/B (concussive) and the 57A/B (penetrator).

There are 14 more of these weapons in storage, although I don't know if it is 14 of one type or 14 total for both. Boing Boing would love to build more if asked nicely ...

Re: “The target was to tell Assad that he could no longer gas his people and remain upright.”

Or, Trump could have destroyed Assad's chemical weapons bunker, poisoned a whole bunch of on-site Syrian war criminals, and made exactly the same point, while also demonstrating to the world that Assad actually had chemical weapons.

Re: 18,000 lbs.

I believe that should be 18,000 kg.

The B-2 can carry 40,000 pounds of ordnance.

But, can it carry a MOAB inside its bomb bay?

I thought it could - but many people on this thread say no.
