A Texas State University student who prides himself on tolerance punched, kicked, and tore up several pro-life signs while a local activist set them up in a central campus square.
Captured on video by several passersby, politics and government student Ian Ramos shouted obscenities at the unidentified pro-lifer and ran from sign to sign, knocking them over, kicking and punching them. Finally, he later told a reporter, he was calmed down by a professor and escorted to her office to avoid police.
...Ramos later defended his actions to alternative news sources such as the Daily Caller and The Tab. Asked if he would do it again, he said, Yeah. I am unapologetic about it. I think this kind of thing I am a tolerant person and I believe in tolerance, but I do not have to be tolerant to bigots. It was just a reaction. In the long run, we want to be having constructive dialogues to change things, but in the moment I dont regret what I did. I think I spoke for a lot of people.
He also said, Im a pretty reasonable person. Im a pretty objective person. I do have a bigger personality than other people, I think. Ramos admitted the goal of the pro-life display, a yearly feature on campus, was to provoke discussion. However, I didnt really want to have a constructive dialogue with him. I just wanted to tell him what I thought about his fundamentalist propaganda...

When the 1st Amendment fails, the 2nd Amendment fills the void..................
Highly doubtful that the school administration will take any action to discipline this “student” Yet consider the response of the same administration if another student tore up and destroyed an icon of the Left.
I don't think his definition of "tolerance" means what the rest of us think it means.
If he gets any more ‘tolerant’ someone will shoot his sorry ass...............
AMEN!
Used to be...character references were required to be admitted into college. Now we see why.
Gosh, he used the word “I” an awful lot. Reminds me of someone...
Guess who gets to decide who are the bigots?

This fool has been taking Kool-aid intravenously for so long that he can’t even recognize his own hypocrisy. They need to cut his dose down before he hurts someone.
He looks American, and with a name like Ian, pretty definitely is born in the USA.
At the very least, someone should kick Ian Ramos’ sorry ass.
Ian Ramos is zealously committed to his religion and it’s child sacrifice.
I doubt UT, despite its Austin milieu, would allow this. It’s Texas State.
So... to the left you’re a “bigot” if you do not want to murder babies.
You should use the headline as posted on the original website. Your changed headline is incorrect as this incident took place at Texas State University, NOT the University of Texas. These are two entirely different institutions.
I wonder how he would describe a bigot?
