President Donald Trump’s deputy national security adviser, K.T. McFarland, is expected to step down and has been offered the position of U.S. ambassador to Singapore, a U.S. official said on Sunday.
The move comes as Trump's national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, retools the national security team he inherited from retired General Michael Flynn, who resigned as Trump's first national security adviser in February.
The 65-year-old McFarland is a former national security analyst for Fox News and was one of Trump's original hires after he was elected president on Nov. 8.
News of her pending departure came less than a week after Trump removed his chief strategist, Steve Bannon, from a seat on the National Security Council at the urging of McMaster.

Are you aware that both Jared & Ivanka advised Mr Trump during the primaries & the general election? Advising him to victory seems like quite an accomplishment, right? Then there is the issue of Ivanka’s very successful clothing line she had built into an enormous success + her successful modeling career. Of course you have to also ignore Jared multimillion dollar real estate business he was running before he married Ivanka. Accomplished? Yes, they are very accomplished.
I’d ask for evidence these 2 have taken over the White House except there isn’t any. Sorry, not buying what you are selling.

Well, you're dead wrong about that...for starters the dopes at CFR were all Clinton supporters, and now they're cheering for McMasters.
McFarland was also a fierce opponent of Hillary Clinton (ran against her for US Senate) and in 2013 famously suggested that Vladimir Putin be given the Nobel Peace prize for his handling of the Syrian chem weapons removal.
Her roots are with the Reagan administration...not CFR material at all.
I can imagine a lot of folks in defense procurement not being happy with Mattis or McMaster running things. They spent two much time in the "intimate killing" business to be too impressed by spending gazillions on the latest gee whiz toys promoted by the inside-the-beltway slicksters. Just a guess.
Trump did not come in with an ideology. He came in promising to make things work. Argue ideology, you are in of and from the swamp. Argue getting stuff done, knowing what you are talking about, and you are the swamp's mortal enemy.
And McMaster is not of the swamp. The swamp tried not to promote him to flag.
As I recall, Kellyanne is still one of President Trump’s advisors & was never going to run foreign policy. That job belongs to President Trump & his State Department. I believe Kushner had to pay back the $$$ Soros loaned him. 250 million or so credit line as I recall. Sheesh, seems to me one would have to be a success in order to pay off $250 million in debt.
