The only people who knew about it were the ones who NEEDED to know. Trump already knows there are leakers in Congress and if he had gone through the bother of the full congressional authority route, someone would have tipped off the press and Syria would have been prepared to counter an attack. Not only that, as bloodthirsty as Assad is, I wouldn't put it past him to plant some unsuspecting family members of the Syrian military to be killed by American bombs so that he could make a big political deal out of it and condemn Trump as a baby-killer. Trump did the right thing and I hope Kaine and his fellow Libtards twist in the wind. They don't deserve his trust.

I’m not agreeing with Kaine but I do believe that Congress should declare war when we are going to commit troops or carry out an an offensive act against a country that is not in the process of threatening the USA. The Constitution is not just a piece of paper and Congress needs to do their job of oversight.
