Syria: President Trump sent a loud message to Syria's Bashar al-Assad for his use of deadly Sarin gas against his own people: Your days of terrorizing your own people with chemical weapons are about to end. But many others are getting Trump's message, too.
"Tonight, I ordered a targeted military strike on the air base in Syria from where the chemical attack was launched," Trump said, speaking from Mar-a-Lago in Florida. "It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons."
Two U.S. ships in the Mediterranean launched 59 Tomahawk missiles, striking Shayrat Airfield in western Syria, which U.S. intelligence believes has been used as a base for deadly chemical attacks against Assad's own people — including the 100 murdered this week in a Sarin gas attack.
"Using a deadly nerve agent, Assad choked off the lives of men, women and children," Trump said Thursday, visibly moved, adding: "No child of God should ever suffer such a horror."
So it's official: "Leading from behind," as official U.S. foreign policy, is dead. "Leading" is back.

Makes sense to hit the weapons depot if the weapons are being misused. I’m not sure the reported attack was genuine. Some people are saying it looks phony. However there’s no sense leaving matches around for pyromaniacs.

I’m not entirely convinced we all know who let the gas off. Something’s changed in the last 3 or 4 weeks. “Leading from behind is dead?” Trump’s behavior has shifted and he appears to be being led by Washington.

There are radar tracks of the plane that dropped the chem weapon. Witnesses who saw it fall. Russian techs who reported seeing it being loaded.
The missile strike may have been almost as phony as the chemical attack. It seems everyone — including the Syrians — were warned in advance of the attack.
And Soros has replaced him with Trump
who ran saying “I will wipe out ISIS.”
And now he does the opposite.
I thought the gas attack was staged with bodies brought in that had been killed earlier.
However, this act gives notice to the world that President Trump is not just bluster and words like his predecessor.
I agree. A secondary (or perhaps primary) benefit of this strike was to send a message to the North Korean fat boy.
Notice that this was done while the leader of his patron/protector nation was in the USA for a summit with Pepe Trump.
The facts of the Syria CW attack will come out. I still have doubts Assad did this. It could be that this was a message to Assad that “if you don’t know what is nearby, keep your airstrikes away from civilian population centers.” Perhaps the result is that going forward, only Russian aircraft will conduct strikes in and around civilian populations. If a similar CW event happens again, we’ll know for sure it was the rebels/ISIS because not even the most rabid neocon/Deep Stater would think Russia will be using CW in Syria.

I’m pleased that he didn’t launch a piddling 3 or 4 Tomahawks, albeit, Obozo didn’t even have the stones to do that. A salvo of 59 missiles was enough to make even the little pot bellied Nork dog eater pay attention.
