BREAKING: Senate votes 52-48 to repeal rule allowing filibusters against Supreme Court nominees, clearing the way for Gorsuch confirmation

I think it’s what is called Battered Wife Syndrome. No matter what happens...brace for impact. Surprisingly enough the impact was the shock wave of the nucular option! LoL!
Winning!
Run the Country without DemoRats.
Now the Senate can force an up or down vote on whoever is nominated by Trump with a simple majority. This will give Thomas a chance to retire and replace a couple of elder libs. By the end of Trumps term we could have a rock solid conservative SC. Even a 7-2 split. Not that is winning.
This appears to be a party-line vote. I guess old Joe Manchin’s talk about how wrong a filibuster would be didn’t result in him voting to end it. Typical Joe. Talk conservative, vote liberal.
While I believe this will come off as it should. History shows it is unwise to consider anything a done deal until after it happens when Republicans are involved - especially in the Senate.
.
From Rush there is still 30 hours allowed for filibuster. That is why the vote to confirm Gorsuch will not take place until late on Friday.
Well, I predicted this on Twitter. (right now I’m running at about 95%, missing only Sessions’ recusal).
When I saw that Yertle said that Gorsuch WOULD be confirmed, that told me it was a done deal, cuz Yertle NEVER says anything like that (i.e., definitively). Personally, I think this was an absolute quid pro quo for Trump putting Yertle’s wife in the cabinet. I do not know what else was part of that arrangement-—but possibly more nukes.
I do have one question: this SEEMS to open this option for every other Trump nominee. If true, the Dems are peeing their Depenz
“By the end of Trumps term we could have a rock solid conservative SC. Even a 7-2 split. Not that is winning.”
Now THAT would be a Dream Come True! :)
Now
I NEVER thought Mitch would do it. I am no fan of the Turtle but he did the right thing with the Scalia replacement much to my surprise.
I hope it was painful for the RATs when they got a nuke shoved down
their throats!
Assuming that all 52 votes were pubbies, what happened to the three Dumbs, I mean Dems who said they are voting for Gorsuch? Does this mean that they think he’s worthy of their vote, but not worthy of going against the filibuster? That makes no sense (logically speaking). I can see the other way around, voting for cloture, but voting against Gorsuch. I guess only in the moonbat world of leftist politics does it make sense. That’s fine, we’ll be running strong candidates against them in 2018...
They could also repeal the rules they considered barriers to passing the awful ACHA. Yet, they choose not to....
I love winning...
Victory!
Now pass it for regular bills.
I knew it. This also makes it much easier to get the next nominee confirmed
Best election ever.
Look at Mitch taking them to the wood shed. Acting manly like this is going to do wonders for Elaine.
