Kind of surprised that McConnell was able to hold all the Republicans together.

McConnell held them all together to block Garland's nomination, too. Doing that for a solid 250+ days despite much media hostility was an even bigger feat IMHO.

As a member in good standing of the hate
Mitch brigade, thank you, no. He deserves full credit on this. When he consistently, rather than occasionally, does the right thing, I’ll turn in my pitchfork. To much history with this guy to do otherwise.

A Pyrrhic victory is a victory that inflicts such a devastating toll on the victor that it is tantamount to defeat.

?

We'll see.

If Gorsuch actually believes what the "church" he attends teaches - conservative parrots/lemmings are going to be in for a shock.

Apparently you have a different idea how judges conduct themselves. They do not show an ideology and, in fact, do everything they can to hide one. This is true of the Left as well. Only a fool would give his enemies a means to block him.

No compromise. Shove it down their throats. There is no reason to accommodate the Democrats in any issue as they have not been honorable to the opposite view at any time.

Gorsuch was confirmed 95-0 in his last post so (D) have no credibility with any thinking person when they try to say he’s unsuited now!

Almost every thread on FR is polluted by the Nattering Nabobs of Negativity with their pessimistic crap, attacks on the GOP leadership (most of which is totally uncalled for), attacks on the party as a whole and pretenses that they are conservatives.

Alberta’s Child is entirely correct to call these frauds out and I will join him in doing so.

The same thing will happen, though I’m sure you complain about the one after that, too.

I'm so happy about this.
Fill the lower courts too, and hurry up.

I’m just pleased they didn’t spend two or three months whining about the filibuster before actually doing something about it.

Nothing different - because the Dems would then go nuclear anyway.

Republicans do not vote en masse against the Democrat nominees. They concede they lost an election and haven’t been total dicks.

You are dreaming EVERY GOP nominee will face hysterical opposition. Trump could nominate someone to the left of Lenin and the Left will still go into their Drama Queen act, you can count on it.

Neither version of your comment is predictive. Trump is NEVER going to nominate Garland for starters. Then there is the fact that ANY Trump nominee is going to face hysterical Democrat opposition and hypocrisy is not anything they are concerned about.

“Well I would have voted for Garland, but now new information has been obtained which prevents me from doing that.” Senator Foghorn E. Leghorn.

You are dreaming EVERY GOP nominee will face hysterical opposition.

This is not hysterical opposition. I'm talking about Leftists rioting, occupying the capital building, real blood on the streets, and attempted assassinations. This was nothing.
