An explosion has hit an underground station in the city of St Petersburg, Russian media report. The Tass and Interfax agencies reported a blast at the Sennaya Ploshchad metro station, which left a number of victims.

Thank you for posting a link. People should shut up about Putin and go look at this. There’s also a photo of the suspect (an older man dressed all in black, with a black cap on and a Muslim-trimmed heard (although he seems to have a moustache). The guy is very weird looking and I’m sure they know who he is.
The only relevant thing to say about Putin, btw, is to note that he is visiting St Petersburg today, and this was clearly meant as a message for the Russian government. St Petersburg would definitely be a softer target than Moscow, where vigilance is extreme.
Mental help is what the Soviets and putin do to people who don’t go along with their crimes. You choose to ignore or not know about him. That’s your choice. I choose not to ignore him and know very well what he’s up to. putin is no ally of America, American conservatism, self-government, the rule of law, and freedom.

I think the station (two transfer stations, actually) where it occurred is a pretty busy one for St Petersburg commuters. I was there in the fall and I was actually impressed by their metro lines - and, of course, Moscow’s metro is super impressive and quite old.
I read that 12 people are dead now. They found two dead in the tunnel.

The man had entered Petrogradskaya station 20 minutes before the blast on board a train carriage between the Sennaya and Technological Institute stations, according to news outlet Fontanka.
This bearded man, wearing a black hat and dark coat, is being sought in connection with the explosion, according to Russia media.
