President Trump brought Republican Sen. Rand Paul to Trump National Golf Club in Virginia on Sunday to play golf with him, a little more than a week after the party's healthcare bill failed.

"They're discussing a variety of topics, including healthcare," White House deputy press secretary Stephanie Grisham said.

Budget director Mick Mulvaney, a former leading House conservative, also joined the two.

Get through? They both want the same thing: repeal and replace with something that works.

More likely outcome is repeal and replace with something almost as bad. Neither supports a cap on liability and both want pre-existing conditions covered automatically so there is little chance that any plan they enact will reduce premiums.

No we weren’t. It was all a hoax. Read art of the deal. Sometime false steps are set up to expose the players and their game plan. As much as I dislike RYan he willingly or as a puppet played his part. Rand Paul ( educated the FC what the game plan was when he instructed them on POTUS book) Remember Paul is very close to McConnell
Trump is working “The System”.( Find Scott Adams explanation)
It’s a new ball game with new rules. Don’t judge it by last centuries rules !

This is good news. For me, Rand Paul has been a consistent, sane voice on the matter of health care.

Thank you. Have considered posting a thread to calm down our folks. But don’t want to be the leaker that explains it to the rats. Just waiting for the surprised look on their faces when the bing bong BING goes through.

To be a Golf Ball on the Wall today. That would hurt a bit but you would learn a lot about Trump.

What if they discussed all the good stuff while you were in the air (with a horrible headache) or in some swamp?

I think you’re probably right on the mark.

Been reading many freeper comments saying they’re loosing faith in Trump over this, and I have to shake my head.

The man is one of the greatest business negotiators alive today.

I didn’t appreciate his public handling of the freedom caucus, but if it’s part of his “deal” and it works, fine.

One thing I try to tell people is that Trump has put his entire life on the line to get this job and for him failure is not an option. His name reputation and legacy are precious to him (rightly so) and all are on the line. I believe he lives the mantra: “Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing”.

Are you talking about the man who is currently demo-gauging the members of the Freedom Caucus

Do you mean like with a micrometer?

A round of golf can tell you a great deal about the fundamental beliefs a man holds. Things like is he a cheater, how does he handle pressure, can he finish a round strong, is he a hot head, etc. Character is revealed through golf more than people realize. Although I’m a by the rules golfer (8 handicap with a little practice), I’d be intimidated as hell playing with Trump.

By golfing with Sen. Rand Paul, President Trump might get some good advice for a change.

Good... perhaps; but more importantly, honest.

And his feet are already an inch or more longer than his dad's. You know when Coach Knight was suppose to be helping Trump before the debate last fall, he actually was recruiting BarRON 😏

An 8! Wow I am am not worth. I was 15 and my regular partner for a 5,5,5 Nassah was a 7 he would give me 6 shots per 9 and that was a lot of fun. Yes best way to get to know someone is to play a round with them

Here is one you will appreciate. Your Golf handicap is equal to the number of days you work in a month (8 hour days). A weekend duffer who works 5 days a week for 4.3 weeks per month equals 22 which is a round of say 95.

What got me was you work your game with lessons and practice, you play 50 holes a week with various rounds of 9 etc. You play well. Then life changes and you can’t practice as much. Your game erodes. Nothing more frustrating than not playing well, knowing that you are capable of doing better.

BOOS

If Trump campaigns against Rand Paul & the Freedom Caucus, as revenge against ObamaCare 2.0,
Trump better be prepared for BOOS at his rallies.

Trump better expect boos for Ivanka & Jared.

Build the wall, but people have no more patience for SlaveCare.

Nope. Nonsense.

Golf just favors tall people.

Instead play gymnastics, jockey horse riding etc.

I sure hope you guys are right. It sounds almost TOO blue sky. However, it does feel more like a Trump strategy than anything else I’ve heard. Boooyaaah!
