I feel for her but am surprised she got off. Maybe mine wasn't quite that bad, but I got out the hard way and doubt I ever would have gotten off if I had done anything like that.

She might be in her own “burning bed” now.

Never thought of it like that. Wonder if they're together again...? /yikes>

I remember in the film, her mother-in-law was a piece of work also.

A high-schooler in our family was dating a guy who became verbally abusive in text messages. Her mom found the text messages and was furious and at that moment the daughter was chatting with the boys mother on Facebook, telling her what he had said to her. And the boy’s mother’s question was, “what did you do to make him call you those names?” WHAT??? The girl’s mom said, “and when he hits you she will say, what did you do to make him hit you?”

Thankfully, they broke up.

Hell is total separation from God and eternal solitary confinement. The reality of it is much worse than the images used to convey its horror. But we can only know its horror through analogy. It is isolation and darkness for all of eternity.

"We can understand Hell in its aspect of privation. All your life an unattainable ecstasy has hovered just beyond the grasp of your consciousness. The day is coming when you will wake to find, beyond all hope, that you have attained it, or else, that it was within your reach and you have lost it forever." -- C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain

ANY man who will beat a woman, terrorize her and little children, deserves the same fate.

Farah Fawcett was incredible in that movie. I saw it when it first came out.

Perfect casting him for the part. Also the woman who played his mother. She is a good actress that I have seen in a lot of shows and movies.
