While leftist activists across the U.S. are clamoring for a higher hourly wage for low-skilled workers, opponents of such measures point out the potentially negative impact on employers, consumers and those looking for entry-level jobs.
One Democratic mayor agrees implementing a proposed $15 minimum wage is not a prudent move at the moment.
Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh recently vetoed legislation that would implement the wage increase within the city.

What don’t these other idiots get? Can they mandate that gasoline will only be sold for $1 per gallon? See how that would work out.
It’s no different with wages.

It won't help but there are far more serious causes of retail deserts. Many of those deserts are developing in the suburbs. It seems like with every two or three Sonics and Dunkin Donuts store built at highway intersections, one or more big box mall anchors go dark. When you do the predictive math, there is no way vacant retail square footage doesn't proliferate. And center re-development is hard to finance with dim prospects for absorbing of rehabbed space. Good money reluctant to chase bad.

Where is the progressive outrage? Why no looting and destruction in baltimore? This heinous act should cause riots and mayhem in the streets across the country! IMO
