Yep, gleefully join in the demonization of the Freedom Caucus with your lies. Your user name does not accurately describe you.

Let me re-frame this the other way.

If the House Freedom Caucus thinks Trump is the enemy, or that they need to save him from himself, etc.; they are sorely mistaken. We will miss the best chance of real reform at many levels of government since Reagan. We should not push Trump into the arms of the Dems to accomplish his agenda.

Give Trump what he asks for at this point and let's move on with the rest. If it requires Phase II, and Phase III, so be it. Put your principles there and vote for Phase I to get things moving. That is better than keeping Obamacare and having to do Phase I or Oamacare fix later.

We elected President Trump to repeal 0bamacare, build a wall, and lower taxes. As savvy as he is, manly and fraught with tenacity, no way he fathomed the rotten smell of a month old cat litter box from 535 cats with diarrhea and most equipped with back stabbing devices following him in his waking hours and likely even when his eyes are rarely closed. I cannot fathom his stress and the will power to not give up - I do not envy him; likely pulled in a million all equally important decisions.

Jim, I echo your epiphany and your rebuttals and replies.

If his folks are reading this thread, I repeat to President Trump,

Stay the course; stray not from 1. FULL REPEAL, 2. FULL BUILDING THE WALL, 3. FULL THROTTLE OF OUR PERSONAL AND CORPORATE TAX RATES.

No then, President Trump, we do thank you for your efforts thus far; likely you don’t hear that much. Coal, Oil, jobs, jobs, jobs, we thank you!

Keep it up, keep the faith - Don’t stray...Mr Robinson will not go away and will not back down. Get er done!

What kind of good does that kind of post from you do FR and the problem? You are inviting me to leave because we disagree? You tolerated folks like me during the campaign, but now that is over, its something else?

That is preposterous, especially the part that I am going "against God and freedom". lol lol lol Please, disagreement doesn't boil down to that now, does it?

“Let me re-frame this the other way.”

Can’t handle more plot twists. Let me get this straight — Trump is now aligned with Ryan and the RINOs and fighting the Freedom Caucus. And he is threatening to team up with the Democrats?

No, thanks.

No, I’m gently reminding everyone that I’m standing firm on my Pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-freedom, pro-Constitution positions and if that makes people uncomfortable, then I’m sorry about that, but I’m not changing. So please do not ask or expect me to change.

Full repeal or bust!

Now we are supposed to believe from included hearsay on hearsay that the Freedom Caucus "moved the goalposts" whatever that might mean.

The "hearsay" you're whining about comes from two different reliable sources, one of which was a member of the Freedom Caucus himself, and another of which is more well connected to the administration than you'll ever be.

Actually, three sources, because one of the sources is the President himself. He clearly thinks that there was a lack of good faith. Hence his comments about "loyalty".

So keep on throwing your stones, Tokyo Rose, and know that you're delighting the enemy with your conscious effort to undermine morale.

The "truth"—which you seem to think you have a monopoly on—can be presented in very disingenuous wrappings.

Someone like Jim Robinson knows how to offer constructive criticism.

You, on the other hand, are doing nothing but being destructive. You're simply too wrapped up in your own self-righteousness to realize it.

When you—for acting like a petulant child—got put on timeout by JimRob, it was for a perfectly legitimate reason.

I've stated before that I believe that Freepers can legitimately disagree as to whether this healthcare bill should have been passed or not.

What I categorically reject is the idea that anyone's patriotism should be called into question based upon which stance they took.

That is to be distinguished from someone who believes the President is a "con man", and allows that belief to slant everything they say about him...

I know I said this prior, but Trump ran to repeal and replace. He was not your candidate for a flat repeal. He’s doing what he said. This is from September of 2015:

Scott Pelley: What’s your plan for Obamacare?

Donald Trump: Obamacare’s going to be repealed and replaced. Obamacare is a disaster if you look at what’s going on with premiums where they’re up 45, 50, 55 percent.

Scott Pelley: How do you fix it?

Donald Trump: There’s many different ways, by the way. Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, “No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private.” But—

Scott Pelley: Universal health care?

Donald Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.

Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of how?

Donald Trump: They’re going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably—

Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?

Donald Trump: —the government’s gonna pay for it. But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-60-minutes-scott-pelley/

This is from right before he assumed office:

We’re going to have insurance for everybody,” Trump said.

There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.” People covered under the law “can expect to have great health care. It will be in a much simplified form. Much less expensive and much better.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-vows-insurance-for-everybody-in-obamacare-replacement-plan/2017/01/15/5f2b1e18-db5d-11e6-ad42-f3375f271c9c_story.html?postshare=1231484529419268&tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.4e23ce91c858

Trump has been consistent on this issue, event though his position differs with conservatives. However, he ran as a populist.

Now if Trump hadn’t said that and had said he was going to flat repeal or repeal and replace with something like a Rand Paul plan, then I would say people could criticize him as breaking his promise. He didn’t break it, though.

That said, going after the Freedom Caucus is a mistake. For different reasons than the Freedom Caucus, I think the bill could have caused electoral problems in the future.

We elected President Trump to repeal 0bamacare

From Trump's announcement speech: "We have to repeal Obamacare, and it can be— and— and it can be replaced with something much better for everybody. Let it be for everybody. But much better and much less expensive for people and for the government. And we can do it.

"So I've watched the politicians. I've dealt with them all my life. If you can't make a good deal with a politician, then there's something wrong with you. You're certainly not very good. And that's what we have representing us. They will never make America great again. They don't even have a chance. They're controlled fully— they're controlled fully by the lobbyists, by the donors, and by the special interests, fully."

Repeal and replace, with something better. I don't agree with Trump on everything, but most everything. Trump campaigned on Repeal and Replace, with something better. He wasn't shy about it, he did interviews about it, we were all a bit concerned about it, but let's not say that Trump was for a clean repeal without replace.

Trump also campaigned on being able to make deals with politicians. He isn't doing real good with that one yet, but he is a fast learner, I'm sure.

I am hopeful that in the end of the day (whenever that is), Trump will get his deal. There may be flaws, but at least then we can move on to other things.

lol Fair enough. And I’m the same way except for an exception for politics, where direction is more important than principle. At least for me. And I have changed my view over the years after seeing a do nothing principled stance really be nothing more than politics. To wit: the previous Obamacare “repeals” in the past. Nothing but politics, and who could disagree at this juncture.

Yes, and we (the conservatives in our midst) all agreed when he said it that it’s not what we want and not doable under our constitution. We want the full repeal and replace with free markets that he stated in writing on his original campaign site. But, of course, we also want the whole enchilada of the rest of his very good America-first agenda.

Do this and he will be the greatest president in history.

Will not settle for less.

Full repeal or bust!

Thanks for asking.

****************************************************************
Sorry, but YOU are one that is sorely mistaken -— AND BLIND. The HFC has said nothing about thinking Trump is the enemy -— just the piece of trash Ryan (with Trump’s assistance) is trying to saddle us with. On the other hand, Trump has now characterized the HFC as the enemy to be defeated in 2018. And there are fools amongst us (yes, you included) who are blindly following him into despising the HFC. It’s both sad & unnecessary.

Well, this is FR. Our entire reason for being is to fight for a return to constitutional government, ie, to secure God’s Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.

We went all in for Bush, too, after he won the nomination even though we knew he was not a solid conservative, but we had to keep Gore and then Kerry out. At least Bus was a pro-life, pro-family Christian. But we fought him tooth and nail against some of his positions, like appointing Miers (sp?) to the SCOTUS and comprehensive immigration reform (amnesty), etc.

We are for Trump but 100% opposed to Trumpcare.

If your perspective is not “What is best for the liberty of Americans?”, but instead is “What did Donald Trump say this morning, so that I can get in sync with his view?” then it’s easy to work up a hate against the Freedom Caucus.
