That Was Then But This Is Now
1. LOCK HER UP.
Donald Trump Then:
After FBI Director James Comey in July recommended not charging Clinton, Trump cited it as evidence the election was rigged and said the FBI rolled over.
He pledged to appoint a special prosecutor, and even told Clinton during a debate that if he were president, youd be in jail.
Donald Trump Now:
But after he won the election, Trump said he wouldnt recommend prosecuting Clinton, saying she already suffered greatly and that its just not something I feel very strongly about.
Trump was speaking in Grand Rapids, Mich., as part of his thank you tour when he heard some chants of lock her up - a common refrain during his campaign events.
That plays great before the election - now we don't care, right? Trump responded, according to CNN.
2. DACA
Donald Trump Then:
Opposed DACA and DAPA and called Obama's executive orders on DACA and DAPA one of the most unconstitutional actions ever undertaken by a President.

We will immediately terminate President Obamas two illegal executive amnesties in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants, Trump said at an August speech in Arizona, where immigration hard-liner Joe Arpaio introduced him.

Donald Trump Now:
They got brought here at a very young age, theyve worked here, theyve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And theyre in never-never land because they dont know whats going to happen, Trump said in an interview with Time.
In an interview that aired Wednesday, Trump said DACA participants shouldn't be "very worried."
They shouldnt be very worried, I do have a big heart. Were going to take care of everybody, were going to have a very strong border, were going to have a very solid border, Trump told ABC's David Muir. You have great people that are here that have done a good job, they should be far less worried.

3. AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Donald Trump Then:
As he campaigned for the White House that he declared in an interview with CBS 60 Minutes: I am going to take care of everybody Everybodys going to be taken care of much better than theyre taken care of now. More recently, Trump has promised that repeal will end with a beautiful picture.

Donald Trump Now:
The White House said Monday that President Trump is absolutely serious about working with Democrats on health-care legislation and other priorities after conservative Republicans balked at a GOP plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
We learned a lot through this process, said White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. If we can come up with resolution on a way to move forward, well certainly entertain that. I dont think weve seen the end of health care.
Mr. Trump criticized the conservative House Freedom Caucus for failing to support the administration-backed bill last week, saying they were allowing Obamacare to remain in place and permitting federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
Asked if working with Democrats would require a serious course correction by the administration, Mr. Spicer said, Sure.

‘I have read that the GOPe is HIGHLY offended by all of Trumps Drain the swamp rhetoric. That would explain a lot of their sabotage. This is personal to them.’
I should hope they are. But hey — they’re undoubtedly the ones who urged him to lay off Hillary.
If they had no dog in that hunt they would be glad if he sank his teeth in that corrupt rat — he could taste her blood instead of theirs.
Gorelick ... ethics advisor???!
Gore-lick of Gorelick Wall ‘fame’.
Ryan is a threat to the mid-terms. The way he’s going, we could see a third party bid.
Yes. She is involved with advising Ivanka on ethics....you will see more and more stories quoting gorelick as ivankas lawyer...and is reportedly advising her Trust on an independent basis. Dem brother josh kushner is trustee.
Richard powell”
Word association? Okay, I’ll play. Steve Mnuchin.
‘Like ryan..I dont think anyone wants Reinces job.’
Shucks, maybe we should hire illegal immigrants to do their jobs then?
I’m sorry but when did pointing out true and actual words of the guy we voted in become anti anything? How about taking issue with the facts he posted instead of immediately turning to the defensive posture? What is think is FR needs to ban the Pom pom dancing personality cultist non conservatives within the party. How does that strike ya?
Next time discredit what he says with facts instead of the cultist emotion
It remains to be seen how much clout Ivanka actually wields. She’s a big Global Warming believer, and that hasn’t stopped Trump from gutting Global Warming funds. If Ivanka’s personal ideas carry similar weight across the board, it will scarcely matter who her lawyer is.
Speaking of Freedom Caucus, this just tweeted by Trump:
“The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!”
‘Which, I guess, explains why, the more he was SAVAGED for criticizing illegal invaders, the more he criticized them.’
Good point. I think Trump is too worried about working with DC insiders. It’s a modified version of GW’s ‘New Tone’.
Stinks of a RINO advisor if you ask me.
Who does Broadway pay attention to? The blistering critic ot the filled seats b and the standing ovations? Trump does the same thing.
Look you have to do your own due diligence. If you don’t know who the players are look them up. Richard Powell is her husband. Do you think he might work at TENEO since I brought it up
Sheesh
Look or don’t look
I’m glad to hear what you said about Ivanka and Trump’s stand on Global Warming.
BTW ... been reluctant to post this — but I literally have my ‘ear to the ground’ regarding coal.
Coal trains rumble a few miles from my home. They pretty well dried up during the Obama regime. Now they’re going gangbusters and I have reason to believe they are prepping for heavy traffic in the long term.
Or maybe next time propose a productive line of action. Something like encouraging people to bombard Trump and the WH with calls and emails, etc. Unless there is actual *evidence* that Trump is being briefed re FR threads, they’re accomplishing nothing.
I know that. What’s the problem with Teneo? I looked it up but nothing jumped out. I think you think you know something but I’m not sure you know squat. If you do, you sure can’t explain it.
Yeah because his people are so ill informed they don’t know about and/or would never read FR.
Jesus..apparently you are the one that doesn’t know.
GOOGLE IT
Or maybe just do a search on FR since you are clueless
I now have zero re for anything you post. It’s not personak; it’s factual. There were no big rallies when Trump started talking about the rapefugees. There was a media cataclysm of apocalyptic proportions. Retailers kicked Trump products out of their stores. Big names cancelled banquets at his hotels. Golfers refused to play on his courses. Anybody with two brain cells had to wonder if any human could survive the onslaught.
The applause came latrt, after Trump had stood his ground.
So you’re making an assumption. I was looking forward to seeing some facts and evidence.
There is proof, incidentally, that Trump’s close advisors read r/The_Donald. I’ve seen nothing similar re FR.
Find it odd the overwhelming majority aren’t taking exception or raising points with the content of what you’ve posted vs. either directly attacking the messenger or diverting the conversation?
That tells me you’ve raised interesting points that make many are uncomfortable to face. I always put members of this site above all others because of their critical thought processes. When did we lose that?
