Hill Republicans trying to avert a shutdown need Democrats — and Trump
The Washington Post ^ | March 29,2017 | Kelsey Snell and Robert Costa

Congressional Republicans are working aggressively to craft an agreement intended to keep the government open past April 28, but their bid to avert a shutdown hinges on courting Democrats wary of President Trump and skirting the wrath of both hardline conservatives and Trump himself.

The murky path forward on government funding sparked widespread unease Wednesday within the business community and at the Capitol, where Republicans worried that Trump’s request for money to build a wall along the border with Mexico and $30 billion in new defense spending must be delayed to avoid a shutdown.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory again. Republicans are idiots. If they believe democrats want to help keep the gvmt open, they are bigger fools than black democrat voters. Close the government and do NOT pay lost wages to furloughed employees upon reopening. THEY will provide appropriate pressure to their democrat employers.

I may have to go beat on my 80 lb punching bag, and with my knees, too, pretending each hit is a senator or a representative.

This BS game makes me want to...

True, but I think the Dems plan is to take every single move by PDJT to restore America and put it before one of their special-selected judges who will gladly issue injunction after injunction.

It matters not if our President had 100% Congressional supporting votes if all will be “vetoed” by judges.

So in effect, we have 3 formerly equal branches of gov’t morphed into clowns in black robes which RULE (not govern) over us.

This is where the fight will rest:

The People vs. The Courts.

Shut the damn thing down for good for all I care. Nothing it has done for or to me has been good in decades.

Republican congress people should NOT go home for break but stay and work. Then have a plan ready to be voted on when democrats come back from their “vacations”

Exactly. The lazy bums in Congress are only working 12 days next month.

They can’t. They’ll try their little hearts out, but Trump won his wall and Americans don’t begrudge him it.
Shame we can’t get conservative items included but the RINOs have precluded that- as they always do.

Congress needs to begin impeaching a couple dozen judges to get this meddling under control.

Yes, this is exactly what SHOULD be done to restore the Republic. However, since Congress is 98% owned by the Deep State, I suspect they will not even try to do what they should do....which puts us back to The People vs. The Courts, or rather....The People vs. the Deep State.

Right now I am listening to today’s TruNews Daily Recap where Rick Wiles is going back 80+ years quoting our leaders, stating how there is a cabal of power people who have taken over America and run it with unseen power, money, and an army of enforcers who we will never see.

He is quoting leader after leader through the decades, trying to alert the People. I started paying closer attention from about the 1932 year forward. It’s really quite remarkable to hear their warnings from so long ago.

at approx the 1 hour mark or so.

Anyway, realizing this makes me understand why Congressmen are so reluctant to do what to the rest of us is just simple common sense to restore the country we love. We truly are in quite the “pickle” as to what to do about it.

Shut it down. Let’s find out what government services are actually important. You have to shut it down first to find out what’s in it!

The last shut down showed US some 800,000 non essential 'personnel', so WTP already know what's in it. Fire 'em all! Let God sort it out!
