Build it, in time high tech will take over and portions will be strictly holographic unless a person or anything other than a small animal crosses and then ZOT! Instant demolecular entity. They will bitch, they will whine, they will yell and throw garbage over it, they will live in sqular behind it, many will see a means to power politically by standing against it or by sabotaging it. Mexico wants the US assimilation, we all know that, so does Islam. But Mexico can be constructive and they don't take too well to Islam. As long as they fight against Islam i would cut them some slack. Give them some factories. Nobody really hates Mexico but all can agree the worst they have should not be allowed to infect and destroy our people and land. Fight the evil first.

Drill 2-inch holes at ground level, a mile apart, for snakes and hila monsters to crawl through the wall. Install a flapper on the south side so that there will be one-way traffic from north to south.

The affected animals would include such rare species as the jaguar, Mexican gray wolf, mountain lion, and whitetail deer .
Deer-Vehicle Collisions:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deer%E2%80%93vehicle_collisions
White-tailed deer, the most common deer involved in deer-vehicle collisions, have steadily increased in numbers since the turn of the 20th century.[6] Currently, it is estimated that 20 to 30 million deer populate North America... In the United States an estimated 1.23 million deer related accidents occurred in a one-year period ending June 2012 (a 7.7 percent increase from the previous year), resulting in $3,305 in average property damage...
In 2000, of the 6.1 million lightweight motor vehicle collisions reported in the US, 1 million involved animal-vehicle collisions. Deervehicle collisions lead to about 200 human deaths and $1.1 billion in property damage every year.[2] State and federal governments, insurance companies, and drivers spend an additional $3 billion in an effort to reduce and manage the increasing number of deer-vehicle collisions.[3]
Build the wall! If it saves a single life...

I'm more concerned about the human wildlife crossing the border. The animal kingdom will adapt. Build the wall.

They said the same about the Alaska Pipeline.

he affected animals would include such rare species as the jaguar, Mexican gray wolf, mountain lion, and whitetail deer. All these animals are on the cusp of disappearance to different degrees: the Mexican gray wolf...
The illegals are eating them as they cross the desert! : )

Excellent, EXCELLENT point!
Looks exactly the same as when a bunch of, ‘Environmentalists’ leave an area where they’ve been protesting!

What direction is the prevailing wind at the wall? Will there be large sand accumulations at the wall on either side?

Good keep the jaguars out. There are already one or two that have been spotted in Arizona. Dangerous big cat. Much bigger than a mountain lion, jaguars can weigh up to 400 pounds and have killed a lot of people in South America.

Who the hell wants to protect wolves or deer?
Wolves are destructive predators, and deer are rats with hooves.
