Early on in Donald Trumps American presidency, Germans still hold relatively negative views of the US leader, a poll released on Monday revealed.
More than half of Germans (55 percent) dont think Trump will last as president for his entire four-year term, according to a survey released by YouGov on Monday. The opinion research group polled more than 1,000 people between February 20th and 23rd.
Most Germans polled have generally voiced negative views of Trump since before the November election, when another YouGov poll days before voting day showed 65 percent of Germans said they would feel afraid if he became president. Then in a Civey poll released on inauguration day, most Germans described Trump as either dangerous, unpredictable, or irresponsible.
It appears those sentiments havent changed in the latest survey on Monday. The survey showed that Germans thought of Trump as extroverted and neurotic, and not very agreeable. When asked about his presidency so far, 38 percent of Germans said they were surprised by his actions in a negative way, while 35 percent said he has gone along as they expected he would. Just 8 percent said they were positively surprised by President Trump.

I know of Americans who share the same opinion with the Germans.
Burkas at Oktoberfest would look like hell. And no more pork products would close the country down.
Most Germans won’t have a head in four years.
And the RAT party was their biggest prize.
Die Zeit, for example, seems to have an almost never ending series of articles at least once a month about how bad things are for the poor in America.

Danke.
I should tell you, that is a fake German word.
Most Germans thought they could beat the Soviet Union in 1941.
No surprise .Their sources for info as with Europe generally is our media or what their media picks up from it.
I wondered about that. I know German words can be that way, but I figured the German word for “screwed” would be short, emphatic, and to the point. Kind of like in English.
Gefickt. Ficken is likely the the loan word that gave rise to the English f-word.
Deutcshland ist gefickt.
Half of my ancestors were Deutsch. I believe Trump will maintain his office as long as he succeeds in unifying the Republican caucus, preserving the majority. Otherwise the Dems and the RINOs will most likely impeach and convict him on any pretense.
The NYT has been partnering with German liberal media giant Axel Springer on a lot of ventures. Not only that, the NYT and Der Spiegel (of Bertelsmann Media) have worked together for quite a while.
FWICS, they might have similar etymologies at their root, which describes a rubbing or thrusting motion.
What I have noticed is foreign journalists parrot the US MSM media. Nearly word for word. There is no independent indepth analysis. So it should come as no surprise people in other countries have a warped view of American politics.
It goes both ways. There’s historic precedent for all of this collusion too.
And I type fast :)
Must have caught the post late.
