I am sick of the lies repeated about the House Freedom Caucus. The HFC are the good guys, and the closest we have in the House to Tea Party. They fly below the radar because they are universally hated by the swamp and GOPe leadership, so as to dodge the publically threatened (by GOPe leadership) retaliation. They don't rush to the microphones, but in fact keep their membership list secret. They don't rally around anything unless 80% of their members support it, then hang together. They are NOT anti Trump, and anyone who says that is lying to you. Ask them for proof--there is none. Same with "bought by the Kochs"--first when did the Koch brothers become bad? That's what moveon.org says. Second, where is the proof the HFC guys are bought? There is none. They are true patriots, and this bs sounds an awful lot like "The Russians! The Russians!!" Did they vote for Ryan? Sure. So did everyone else, and Trump publicly threw his weight behind him just prior to the vote. The time wasn't right. They sure got rid of Boehner, though.
So to enlighten Freepers, I've posted some facts below:
Define Americanism?
Not playing Checkers. You forget what the game is.
It's shocked me to see people here on FR damning the House Freedom Caucus for NOT turning into lying Rinos......... when they supposedly voted for President Trump to "drain the swamp" of Dems and lying Rinos because they are destroying our country.
Makes me think we've fallen down the rabbit hole......
Why can’t you except the fact that Trump will be no more successful running healthcare than Obama? Repeal means repeal. The same as the over 50 times they voted for it. It’s not ideological, it’s simply a matter of doing what they said they would do.
THANK YOU!
The Paulites almost seem to be running this place lately!
Based on who’s leaning and which action do you make such a statement?
>> Last week there was a post here where Trump warned them he would come after them if they voted against this bill, <<
If we’re talking about the same warning, that was mainstream media sources (firstly, CNN) saying that unnamed sources claimed Mick Mulvaney claimed Donald Trump warned them.

The extreme right wing of the Republican Party is neither conservative or nationalistic, no the uber right wing is Libertarian and all the baggage that comes with that.
A constitutional republic based on free market principles and a civil society. If the RINO bill is what everyone would gladly accept then I can’t figure out what everyone is fighting for. The democrats at least lie to promote a liberal agenda. Why do we support Republican politicians who lie to also support a liberal agenda. Make them vote up and down on repeal. At least we would have all those who lied the last few years on record.
They have a bill. It's been voted on UNANIMOUSLY in the House several times. They've tried to reintroduce it, but Ryan blocks it.
A more intelligent question is.....why does Ryan REFUSE to bring that bill up for a vote? Why did he hide in a closet, with his special interest groups, to put together a bill with no House Reps input? Why did Ryan throw out his crap bill and put a "fake" time table to it?
Heck, I bet Ryan went to Pelosi to get tips on how to screw over the country, since everything he did was just what the Dems did to shove Obamacare down our throats in the first place.
Exactly. Earlier today - on a pulled thread - someone was questiong the HFC and was smirking at how they supported Ryan as speaker.
I pointed out that perhaps they supported Ryan at that time as a courtesy to Party Unity.
But now Trump - in a complete turn around from his pre-election campaign has shown nothing but support for Ryan and the RINO's.
And has blasted true conservatives (HFC) to boot.
Define “free market”? Between states? Between countries?
Yep. Full repeal with a phase out time, say 2 years, in which time a free market driven approach with insurers able to cross state lines to insure in many different states thus lowering costs. There may be a need for some beuracracy but the less the better such as drug price controls and observation overnight stays in the hospital. There’s no reason it should cost $1200-$2500 a night to simply sleep in a hospital bed on a monitor being checked on every 2-4 hours. Even if some open bay bed areas with hanging privacy drapes are made to make it affordable; it would be okay. The price should be no more than $500 a night if done correctly.
The common misconception is we need to pass any kind of healthcare law at all. We don’t. We do need to make it possible and affordable for the free market to do it though and get commitments from insurers and the medical community to make it happen.

So who’s idea was it to keep moving the goalpost. I’ve been one of their strongest supporters on this site, and as far as the bill I was on their side (I think Ryan is a total incompetent). What I can’t put up with is not negotiating in good faith and requiring members to march in lockstep with them a la Nancy Pelosi

Not true on so many levels.
1.3 Weeks ago Trump hinted that Repubs who failed to support his RINOCare bill would be primaried.
2. Last week - same threat against conservatives
3. The next day - Spicer went on to walk back those threat with a “ha ha, just kidding” press release.
4. Also last week we had Steve Bannon allowing there was a White House “shit list” of Repubs who did not support TrumpCare.
5. I imagine if I gave it more time, I could come up with other verifiable threats and warnings the Trump White House has made against conservatives and the HFC.
6. But worse than these is Trump’s sucking up to Ryan and the GOP-e.
7. And as many are looking today at recent Trump tweets and as we read many left and right wing blogs - we see the next course of action by Trump is to start negotiating with the democrats. After all, he tried to get Repubs to play Trumpball. That didn’t happen. So we will see how Trump and the Rats get along.
The real question is WHY didn’t Lyin Ryan bring the Bill pending last week to a vote to expose the HFC as the block that voted against it?
I will tell you why, because all the Lying RINOS that campaigned on REPEALING the ACA didn’t really want to repeal the ACA.
So Lyin Ryan pulled the bill to cover for the RATS in RINO clothing.
If it had been the HFC that was the only ones against it the SWAMP would have called a vote, isolated them and attempted to destroy them.
Anyone that claims otherwise doesn’t have a clue of how the RINOS run the house...
ANYONE remember the scam Lyin Ryan played on the Members just a year ago with Defunding the ACA thru a CR? ANYONE?
In case you missed it, they were told to vote for the CR and later it would be pulled or tabled. Once the vote was cast LYIN RYAN stuck a shiv in their ribs and moved the bill on to the Senate.
WAKE UP PEOPLE!
Who put the bill together without any input from members?Who brought the bill to committee without ONE amendment to it? Who required the bill to remain locked out of the public eye? Who told members you either vote for this or nothing? Who told the Public you have to vote on it to see what’s in it?
Is that the tactics of Lyin Ryan and his foolish Leadership Team or Nancy Pelosi? I don’t see much difference.
Define free market? Between states? Between countries?
Simply voluntary exchange of goods and or services between two or more entities. This is a good thing and a bedrock of our economy.
Between states? Yes. Between Countries? Yes with similar type economies. Free trade with Canada and the UK etc.
I'll bet all the Freedom Caucus members are for totally import duty free trade with any country, including the third world. Which is where they and I depart ways.
