ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) - A North Carolina jewelry store is getting lots of attention over its newest billboard.
.
.
.
Several people contacted News 13 to say they were upset about the billboard.
Ellen Perry is one of them. Perry is a literature and humanities teacher at UNCA and AB Tech. She is planning a protest outside the store on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
Perry told News 13 she's supported by the Women's Rights Committee, Stronger Together WNC North, and the Equal Rights Amendment Committee within Indivisible Asheville.
Perry said she will continue to organize protests until the billboard is taken down.

If I were a younger, single man I might consider throwing a rock at someone of her physical appearance.
AKA sausage fingers.
I saw a couple of those on different vehicles. One in Valrico, Florida on State Road 60 and the other in Plant City, Florida. Booth were driven by females.
The store owner DID NOT LIE!!
Marilyn Monroe sang a song about those kind of rocks:
“Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friends”
Where do these polished gems come from???
THE EARTH!!
How are they retrieved?
They are dug out from among other rocks!!
Therefore, they ARE rocks!!
Reminds me of when JOE BIDEN said (paraphrased) "Finally, a half-decent looking black guy who speaks English."
I thought it was racist as well; but then you know the rest of the story. : )
No rock on the finger either.
Ellen, you would attract a rock or two yourself if you were, perhaps, a bit less uptight. And had a sense of humor.
And now I’ve seen their ad.
Congrats, idiot protestors! See how that works?
These protests are often extortion attempts: “Make a donation to this non-profit (with which I’m associated), and we’ll go away”
Wow.
An actual picture of “throwing pearls to swine”.
“walking by a store called The Body Shop... the most prominent image in the front window was a poster of two scantily clad teen-looking females in embrace with the words Make love not war”
Funny, my 12 yr old and I were in the mall yesterday and saw that same poster in that shop’s window. We both looked up at it with identical, carefully blank expressions and then he said, “Okaaay. Moving right along”, and then he started walking again. Around the corner he said, “I have seen so much of that stuff in this mall today, Mom”. Then, he accurately sited some of the same-sex couples with kids that we had passed, some that I hadn’t even noted, myself. He said that there was a certain “closeness” between the adults that clued him in.
If only every teenage kid had similar a reaction, we might see a serious protest for such a poster that would be hard to ignore.
What do the local muslims say about that billboard?
FUPerry...go put on your potato sack and stay in the house.
What the ample Ms. Perry is advocating with her protest is islamophobic a definite “no-no” for the Left). She is being intolerant of how the terrorists practice their “religion”.
Doesn’t look like she’s missed any meals.
Especially in Asheville, ie Berkeley of the South.
Ellen Perry should have a little Sex On The Beach and lighten-up
Some people are just not looking at all facets of this story...
That could be dangerous. If you disturb wild buffalo they might stampede!
