Should conservatives be rooting for the health care bill to pass the House today, or be defeated or withdrawn? Joe Scarborough made an interesting observation today, quoting the late Senator Paul Simon at the end of his career on the biggest lesson he had learned: "sometimes when you win, you lose. And sometimes when you lose, you win."
Scarborough pointed to the way Democrats whooped it up when they "won" on Obamacare in 2010 . . . and proceeded to experience six years of political "hell," losing 1,000 seats across the country. Opined Scarborough, "I think the best thing that could happen is this bill goes down today. Actually, that they pull it. Let them start renegotiating from the very beginning, do it the right way and move on to tax reform, something that will unite all conservatives.

Republicans should ALWAYS take Scarborough’s advice! /s
Like Morning Shmoe is out to help Trump
Could it be better for Republicans for health care bill to go down?
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
At that point, congressional Dems would have to admit it was a disaster, and there could be at least some bipartisan support for change, or at the least, stronger public support for a Republican bill.
I have heard of no one who is excited about the bill in its current form.
” Actually, that they pull it. Let them start renegotiating from the very beginning, do it the right way and move on to tax reform, something that will unite all conservatives.”
Scarborough is not right too often, but he is on this one.
The current turkey of a bill should be killed. A conservative, free market approach should be drafted instead. Start with Rand Paul’s bill and make any changes to make it better. End the Medicaid expansion and tell the states which took the bait to continue it on their own dime if they want it but that a Republican president and congress will not continue to add to a $20 trillion debt. To do so would not be “for the children.”
Damn the torpedo's, full speed ahead.
Pence, Bannon, and Kushner are distancing themselves from the bill.
It’s a disaster.
I want to know why Ryan is trying to force Vets into the VA system.
I despise that little worm.
If anyone here had any question about whether or not this needed to pass, this should satisfy you.
If Scarborough is for failure, I’m for passage.
I agree with Joe on this. I guess this is one of those "stopped clock" moments.
I agree. Pull the damn thing. Since Ryan the turd tried to tie this around trumps neck I’ve smelled a rat. Donald knows it will not pass so he put it back on Ryan yesterday. Yes he will take a hit but not as big a one had he not tossed it back. Ryan has been a Judas this whole time. He wants some form of o care regardless of how much the public does not. Welfare belongs in the states not on the fed dime.
You called Trump a Socialist. Careful. Some people don’t want to hear that.....
I don’t like Scarborough; but the Republicans have totally screwed this repeal and replace law up. So incompetent, with good leadership this should have been a united positive action. Now it is just a cluster
It’s on the table now - we’ll see what comes of this...
Stopped clock and all that.
Ryancare is not repeal and should be withdrawn.
Hey Joe...how did your intern REALLY die?
I don’t have a clue. There are so many opposing views and agendas in this whole healthcare mess. Even for smart people it’s difficult to see the whole picture.
I know the rules in the Senate seem to have a lot to do with it why it can’t all be done at once etc. The House is hamstrung in some ways.
Mess. Big mess.
