On Thursday Governor Doug Burgum (R) signed legislation allowing North Dakota residents to carry a handgun concealed for self-defense without a permit.
The legislationHouse Bill 1169passed the House on February 21 by a vote of 83-9. It passed the Senate on March 21 by a vote of 34-13.
USNews reports that the permitless carry law allows law-abiding citizens 18 and over to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense as long as they have a valid ID and notify law enforcement of the weapon during instances such as a traffic stop.

A judge decides to follow the law. That’s weird.
Governor, anyway. I’m sure some judge will overturn it.
When the Governor signs this into law, according to SCOTUS ruling on State reciprocity of homosexual marriage, it will become accepted in the remaining 49 States. Or, so it should be.
One can only hope.
It’s time for the passage of a Constitutional carry bill in Congress.
Maybe they could a judge in Hawaii that finds the new “law” unconstitutional. ;-)
What other States allow this?
And do the other state have resiproseity on this?
Just getting ‘reciprocal’ carry in all 50 states would be almost as good.
What moonbat state lawmaker is going to tell those they represent they can’t carry, but everyone that visits the state can at any time.
The dueling a$sholes, Schumer and Cuomo will never allow that to happen in NYS.
“North Dakota: The 2nd Amendment Is Your Concealed Carry Permit”
Yep.
I think there are 14 now but can’t remember which is which. As far as reciprocity——————I’m thinkin’ if you have a ND drivers license, it ain’t gonna help you in another state to carry without a permit. That is one of the arguments for national carry. DL’s are accepted nation wide so why not CCWs? Of course it is still my stance that the 2nd is your permit.
In AZ we have constitutional carry but we can still get a concealed carry permit. You need it to carry in an establishment that serves alcohol or if you travel to one of the 37 (last time I checked) states with reciprocity agreements with AZ. I have a permit but the last time it was out of my gun safe was when I went to Utah last year.
Utah? Has there been an increase in Mormon highway robbers? LOL!
Question....... was Wyatt Earp anti second amendment? How dis his city ordinances stand?
I've been watching old westerns and such action is a common theme
Adding ND, that means 13 states (26%) do not restrict the right to carry (for non-felons), and 29 (not 30) are now shall-issue.
Only the ones who own gas stations.
The main concern was crossing the Big Res. Even though I was on an Arizona state highway I kept seeing Navajo tribal cops on the road. The Navajo are a little backward. Concealed carry is forbidden on their reservation. They also practice Daylight Saving Time.
