President Donald Trump reportedly warned Republican congressmen on Tuesday morning that many of them could lose their seats next year if they vote Thursday against the leading bill to repeal and replace key parts the Affordable Care Act.
Trump's stern message came during an unusual personal visit to Capitol Hill to spur wavering members of the GOP caucus to get behind the bill, known as the American Health Care Act.

“Trump owns this now”
Yeah, I hate to see Trump fall for Ryan’s lies on this. RyanCare will be circling the drain in a few short years just like ObummerCare. And the Republicrats will not be able to blame it on the Dimicans this time.
This is a point I have sort of made several times.
If it takes years to bring down the premiums..and you can’t afford them now..you are going to be screwed later because they jack the rate up 30% on you.
I get why the need to jack up the rate if pre existing conditions have to be covered.
The point is you have to make it affordable at the outset.
“Used to work for Lott, Cheney, and Mcconnell.”
I don’t know anything about the gal, but the list of her former employers doesn’t foster confidence in her.
Don’t they agree to sign a 5 year lobbying ban?
My gosh it makes me pay for someone with 4th stage cancer an 1 million is treatment coming up— And they just sign up!! I don’t want that.
And AGAIN you missed the point
I don’t have a problem with jacking up the rate.
I CLEARLY SAID..the rate has to be affordable at the outset.
Oh sorry.//I thought that post was to me.
Maybe that is just Cabinet Secretaries..don’t really know
“HOWEVER, none of us know what is possible as far as amendment/fixes to a reconciliation bill. I will give Ryan that.”
A bill is only needed to enact socialized medicine in some form.
Only a simple repeal can restore the free market.
I’ve got a great idea, why don’t we just make Republicans OWN ObamaCare? We can just rename it and add a few bells and whiskes. Then when it crashes and burns, Republicans will be left holding the bag.
What a great idea! Not.
I like Paul’s bill much, much more. Bring that one to the floor.
This is unfortunate. It means he’s been duped by the vicious snake, Ryan.
I've been very careful not to criticize Trump in any of these discussions. Heck -- I haven't even been all that critical of Ryan, either. I know this is a political process, and there will be plenty of bumps along the road.
Since I figured out a legitimate way around the Obamacare monstrosity for myself, my only real concern here is that I don't want the GOP to pass a pile of crap just for the sake of passing something. If they pass something that isn't perfect but saves most people money, then they should be OK. If they go through all of this idiocy to get a bill that doesn't reduce premiums one bit, then they may as well resign collectively.

I can’t figure out why Trump likes this piece of chit so much.
I don’t think Trump gets duped by Paul Ryan in any universe.
When this pile of crap hits the fan on Thursday, Trump owns it. I thought he was smarter then this. No wonder Ryan has been smirking so much.
“If it doesn’t do anything to reduce insurance premiums...”
What makes you think that reducing insurance premiums is the key to solving the health care fiasco?
It’s not. But reducing premiums is the key to addressing the problem AS IT RELATES TO MOST VOTERS.
Does anyone know if the congress exempted themselves from Ryancare?
